I'm still hoping for better tracks than 'Killing Floor' as I didn't really care for that.
If The album is a dud, than I hope for SMKC to do another record. Some may find it boring but to me it's the kind or rock n roll that Slash is perfect for.
Crazy how Slash released an album with SMKC and now this since GN'R reunited, meanwhile GN'R just released leftovers(crappy ones at that).
Maybe Axl really needs to have the stars aligned or whatever before he can do something, as Steven Tyler wrote in his book.
noticed how Slsh basically did the same thing Santana did: made 1 album with guest singers of original material in 1999 (Supernatural) and another album with guest singers that was all covers (2010's Guitar Heaven)
(one difference is there's an original instrumental on Slash's Orgie Of The Damned)
Edit: santana's second guest singers album was rock covers while slash's is blues covers.
If anyone’s interested, I have a new post on my blog that includes some GnR: http://henrynsilva.blogspot.com/2024/01/my-top-3-albums-per-year-1963-2023.html?m=1
EDIT: and another one: http://henrynsilva.blogspot.com/2024/02/biggest-rock-bands-per-year-i-think.html?m=1
