Children Of The Revolution

agreed. Dave did come up with some inspired shit for the Taylor celebration of life. A favorite of mine is Josh from Queens Of The Stone Age doing Bowie's Let's Dance, so it's not all Kesha, bless her slutty heart. -
Slash has an underrated ability to find a lot of variation in his sound and approach. Snakepit doesn't sound like VR which doesn't sound like SMKC, solo album, etc. imagine a hybrid of Chinese Democracy, some Contraband, with the energy of Let It Roll and American Man leads. with Fall To Pieces, Slither, and Sucker Train Blues it's clear that like Axl said, there was the ability to create another great Gn'R album without Izzy imho. Duff has also proved to be a gifted song writer at least to my ears.

you invite Kesha, there's going to be hooker rolling and floor humping. it is what it is. -
Axl only expressed interest in film score as a listener, and in the hypothetical case of Gn'R not being active anymore in any capacity or whatever. he never planned to do film scores as far as we know which would make it a very different thing. not releasing very much music doesn't mean Axl is not creative anymore I mean how could you possibly know how active he is when he's not talking about this shit? if you define being creative as writing and/or composing music, finishing it, and releasing it, then yes, but that is not the definition of being creative. Axl being creative could be him composing a new tune playing his piano for example, or coming up with lyrics and vocal melodies and capturing that in the studio. we have no idea about that shit. the quantity of tunes he released in the last 30 years doesn't prove anything in that regard.

my guess is that it's likely not a coincidence, it just made me wonder why a lot of people care about anniversaries, it seems instinctual, but in reality it's not important enough for me at least to define it as "icing on the cake". I guess it's the sense of symmetry that is appealing. anyway, great fuckin' show from my favorite era of the band. so raw.

it's not over yet... I'm fine with it either way, but any more tracks with Axl, Duff, and Slash on them is something I'm very much still interested in. a cover, a Chinese leak, a new song, a collaboration, whatever. no one sounds like Axl, Slash, and Duff. I see it as still open ended, you've got a lot of talented writers/composers in the lineup so I don't put a clock on it and Slash's approach works for me: if it happens, it happens. in the end, Axl is just going to do what he wants to do and there is technically still more time for more Gn'R music to be released.

another attempt, and this time slower just cause you seem to not understand: a genre is a wide definition. you can be very different in the same genre. AFD is hard rock. MC did hard rock and looked kinda from the same scene for a while, but it ends there, cause Gn'R's music was unique and very different to what MC did. please don't reply to this post or I will self destruct.

I don't care right now, sorry that you've got shit in your ears. MC didn't do what Gn'R did musically. a lot of people think that AFD is unique sounding to Gn'R. MC didn't sound like WTTJ. you even hear the hits like SCOM and PC and it's clear it's not Poison, MC, or Whitesnake unless... shit in the ears imho
