Don't forget The Seeker.

This is a controversial opinion, but I like The General more than Monsters. They're both great tracks! Also, I think that Monsters sounds like something that would have been on Slash's first solo album! Love it!

Do you remember where you saw that? I don't remember hearing Slash say anything about Robin Finck. The only time I remember Slash talking about the Chinese Democracy lineup, was to say that Axl finally made the album he wanted to make.

In Slash's defence, he has a completely different style of playing. I wouldn't expect him to play Robin's solos.

I think the big issue is the volume. When he hits some of the high notes, he isn't using as much power. If he moves his microphone further away from his face, that should make it sound more balanced. And then they just need to increase the volume on the microphone a bit during the song, so that we can hear the high notes more clearly.

Just be happy they haven't done The Seeker this year.

Yeah, that's what I thought. We can't have the band playing two new songs in the set on a single night, can we? We'd all lose our minds.

Setlist.fm says that they are playing Breakdown right now. Is that true???

Okay, having listened to this slightly better recording...I'm going to say something potentially crazy. If Axl can use rasp throughout the entire chorus, instead of switching to baritone, the live version might sound even better than the studio release. ...I said what I said.

I particularly enjoyed Axl's use of rasp during Perhaps. While it was hard to tell because of problems with the stream, a part of me wondered if the performance was even better than the studio release. But "Perhaps I was wrong."

In my opinion, Slash and Duff probably agreed to rework these Chinese Democracy songs as a diplomatic gesture. It's a good way to rebuild trust with Axl after decades of fighting.

Let's all take a second to appreciate the fact that the first music video released after the reunion wasn't ABSUЯD.
