  1. I tried doing this before but it came out as a status  ( I am soooo technologically challenged :P ) anyway I thought you might prefer this as a PM instead of just in a post. I was very touched by the story of your son, how he loved rocking out to AC/DC, doing the oi oi oi parts and such. he seems like he was a very cool dude and i'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my younger brother back in '77 and I often think we would have had a blast going to AC/DC concerts and GN'R ones as well. I am sure your son is looking down from above at you and is very proud of his rock Mum :) you seem to be a very nice, very cool person and I enjoy reading your posts. hope to read more soon, take care!

Oh thank you AFR. :(   I'm so sorry for the loss of your brother in 1977, you never stop grieving for close family members & I can't imagine what that must have been like for your family.  I actually lost both little boys. Kieran died at 7yrs in our arms in hospital and Bailey at 11yrs in respite care suddenly. They had juvenile Huntington's disease & my husband died Aug 2014 but for some reason I got a huge crush on Axl in 2011 which brought me out of a very dark place. I heard Patience on the radio & thought  gnr had a new song out!!!! How wrong was I but I looked at that awful Axl Rose disaster video & my heart went out to him because last time I saw him he was in NR video every weekend.

Of course I had to find more videos & then found myself going over the years I'd not seen & was shocked at how naughty he was, the braids, the years he hadn't been around. When I developed that crush I fell in love with my husband all over again like when we first met in 1987, he was living in a residential due to Huntington's disease & I'd spend days up there with him. It softened the blow of losing him a little although Axl had to disappear for over a year which was frustrating. I was lucky to go to their concert with another of the forum members, get front row and Zosorose had contacted Bumble and arranged backstage passes after the concert. A night I'll never forget, my first rock concert in my 50s where we threw bras on the stage (Axl smiled lolol) & my friends gave me a hard time about it.

We waited at the gates for Axl to leave & finally his car came out, stopped & his window went down and he said "hi guys". He didn't get out even though there were only about 5 of us there but I'll never forget that deep voice.

When Bailey died I was diagnosed with breast cancer but just needed 2 operations but it came back at the end of 2013 & I had a mastectomy, radiation, chemo etc & while recovering I just listened to the Axl phone in when he was on a radio station years ago. Just what I needed, I love his voice.

I love him being in ACDC but I've noticed there's no ballads so his voice is going full on the whole time, at least there's quieter songs in GNR to give his voice that break. ACDC played at my high school hall in 1975 & I missed them, I lost interest after Bon died so I'm learning lots of songs I didn't know.

Thanks for writing, it's nice to have contact with people, not many here that I know as it's been ages since I posted. I just liked what you were posting & you didn't ridicule me for things I didn't know or you didn't know about ACDC as I go back a longer way than most on this forum.

      Regards, Debbie

I should warn you I was a typist so once I get going I write long replies, sorry. I just remembered that this quiet shy person who was so nervous about meeting Team Brazil & the band actually found myself screaming AXL when he was near me & it was like I heard myself screaming to him but couldn't believe it was me.
