  1. Well I've suspected that things became like wwe.
  2. Seems like it was just some fun for the Mexican fans. A Trump piñata filled with free t-shirts. The meltdown in this thread is entertaining though.
  3. I've never heard that bit either, but it couldn't have been easy for Slash back then. They are genuinely really cute together.
  4. Babymetal!?! This is friggin awesome! Never thought Guns would tour with them! They're the best openers so far, wish I could see them.
  5. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Axl had somehow lost his portion of the band to the Lebis family.
  6. I thought fans loved it when Axl spoke his mind? He's brutally honest after all.
  7. There's nothing better about a middle-aged junkie. They would be pathetic. There's an expiration date on that kind of lifestyle and I for one am glad they've moved on. People are already trashing them for being a nostalgia act, if they were using the sense of them being washed-up would be compounded. People saying they're touring for drugs money etc. And how can you ignore the human fallout? What it would do to their families etc. I don't know why any fan would want this. This kind of thinking is why I supported Mary's comments when Scott died. December 3rd, 2015 is not the day Scott Weiland died. It is the official day the public will use to mourn him, and it was the last day he could be propped up in front of a microphone for the financial benefit or enjoyment of others. [...] But at some point, someone needs to step up and point out that yes, this will happen again – because as a society we almost encourage it. We read awful show reviews, watch videos of artists falling down, unable to recall their lyrics streaming on a teleprompter just a few feet away. And then we click "add to cart" because what actually belongs in a hospital is now considered art. These guys were creative in spite of their drug abuse, not because of. There were many wayward druggies on the sunset strip, but none of them wrote AfD. GNR were young, hungry and talented.
  8. Bumblefoot was almost shaking in that interview. It really does seem like it was a traumatic time for many in the band. And I suspect it wasn't just due to fan criticism, things were going on behind the scenes.
  9. What! That's Kesha. I found the video of it.. "I've only met her once"
  10. I thought Kirk and Slash were friendly? This is little too pointed. He should understand the current situation with the band. Slash has just returned. They're not going to put out an album straight away.
  11. It's just so incredible to have him back in Guns. They're a band that needs a true guitar hero. This deserves it's own thread imo. It is possible new music!
  12. No worries. It just goes to show that many people want to see them kiss. Maybe if ticket sales slow down they'll oblige. The women's thread alone would buy hundreds of tickets. @nonok I didn't know that artwork came from an actual photo. I thought someone was just very creative, but of course it would be real. Slaxl really is like fanfic come to life.
  13. What a day. I hope everyone is well. Here, have some Slaxl.
  14. This is what Duff must have meant when he said people around them were playing divide and conquer. I never knew that about the timing of Goldstein's contract. I reckon he had accomplices as I've always felt that the stench of a lawyer hangs over the band. Things always seemed to very quickly devolve into legal action. Like the contract for Steven. Izzy being demoted. The change in band credits. The name being put in the contract. More and more I see that Duff and Slash were lucky to hold on to the partnership.
  15. My theory about Axl looking different is that it's partly down to his eyebrows. We all know the eyebrows can really change how a person looks, and back in the day Axl's were properly shaped, thicker and darker. He also did his lashes and eyes, because like Michael Caine his colouring is really fair. At some point he gave up on all that, and it was around that time he started to look different. Then he started using eyeliner again, but in a really unflattering way. I suspect Erin helped him in those early days, and tbh for that reason alone I think he should consider calling her, because his more recent look tells me the people around him don't know what they're doing. I think so too. They revelled in the feud and used it to their advantage. It's so sad. I honestly think he'd have been better off without them. Whatever short-term benefits of having them in his life when he was struggling, is not worth the long-term consequences of lost years, co-dependance and control. Look at Amanda Bynes. He'd have been better off getting hospitalised, having a proper treatment plan in place with professionals and then getting on with his life. There's no reason why he couldn't have a family of his own, or reconciled with Slash much sooner.
