  1. Imo Absurd sounds a lot better than Perhaps, being the only track without clipping issues along with Hardskool
  2. 1.- Live in Santiago 2010. 2.- Live in Santiago 2016. 3.- Santiago, 2017. 4.-Santiago, 2022. The impact of seeing GN'R for the first time in 2010 will always be a hard one to top. As a CD era lover, it's my favourite GN'R show by far
  3. Lol, I actually think the complete opposite, for me it's the best pro shot since Rock am Ring 2006
  4. Well, Perhaps has the same issues and they didn't seem to care. Whoever worked on Perhaps and The General (and probably Monsters) mixing did an awful job.
  5. The official version of Perhaps has some serious clipping issues too ( to my ears at least), I even bought different versions in FLAC format and listened to it on different streaming platforms, but they all had the same problem Let's hope the official version of The General has better production. The song has more "breathing room" and doesn't seem to be as saturated with excessive layers as Perhaps, so I'm quite hopeful that it will be decently produced. I hope the orchestral part gets a few db+ on the final mix too. Still hard to believe The General is finally coming out!! Exciting times to be a GN'R fan
  6. I don't know about about United States law, but at least in my country and many others, the general rule is that copyright belongs to the principal (the one who pays for the services) unless the parties stipulate otherwise.... For example, if I pay someone to take pictures of my marriage, I have the copyright of those pictures, not the photographer, unless stipulated otherwise in a contract. I made a quick search and it seems that in USA, if a work is created by an employee in the course of his or her employment, the employer owns the copyright. So no, it may not be as simple as you say and you definitely shouldn't be trying to teach other people about this topic lol
  7. I guess I'll be more careful when sending funny videos of monkeys doing sex stuff from now on....
  8. The "hey heys" are different I think... Is there any way to isolate they "hey heys" to compare them?
  9. Thank you for this post, I was about to say the same thing... Just listen to the 2001 HOB Show, one of my favourite GN'R shows for sure. Axl nailed every single line
  10. Nope, he still doesn't get anywhere near the studio version. It's a shame because the solo outro in the studio version is pure perfection
  11. +1, it's pretty clear he sings "time to forget" on the live performances Edit: actually I think he says "forgive" on the second chorus haha
  12. Just heard it on Youtube, he said "This is a new song... I'd like to tell you about how it's a new song, but whatever..." He sounded a little bit angry. Maybe he really wanted the song to be out already on streaming platforms and the delay of the vinyl and release was all against his will...
  13. Yes, that's the pedal. He posted a picture of his gear on social media and you could he had it on his pedalboard
  14. Amazing. Slash did a great job recreating Buckethead's guitar solo!
  15. To my ears both songs sound like they have similar production to Perhaps. Same clipping issues and similar layering, specially Monsters. I hope the official releases sound better
  16. One of the greatest for sure, but it's hard to pick the "best" one. Chinese Democracy has some great moments too
