  2. In the description of the vinyl single on the UK GNR website it says this….. 🤔 “WRITTEN AND RECORDED BY AXL ROSE, SLASH, AND DUFF MCKAGAN THIS YEAR”
  3. I’m just on the train back. I might do a more in depth review tomorrow but off the top of my head and while I’m still buzzing here goes… Firstly, a UK gig with no sound issues thank god! I was in the golden circle probably about 20 yards back. Secondly, Axl… he was in a great mood. Lots of crown interaction. He fell over at the start of Bad Obsession, quickly recovered and made light of it at the end of the song. Anyone who criticises Axl’s vocals tonight must be hearing impaired because I was pleasantly surprised just how good he was. He made a couple of references to putting in a lot of effort “I will continue busting my ass for you” and then he dedicated Absurd to “people who have been talking” or something like that. He also made a reference to “trying hard” at the end of Patience iirc. He seemed to be putting a lot of effort in and was working hard to control his voice, noticeable by some of his hand gestures. sole of the notes he hit were insane… the end of Rocket Queen, Civil War and a Jungle screams were off the charts The only minor weak points were parts of Coma (still probably the best version I’ve seen in the last few years) Slither was excellent, as was Pretty Tied Up and Reckless Life Songs that seems to go down best with the crowd (from my angle) were Brownstone, Live and Let die, YCBM, KOHD and Don’t Cry… obviously SCOM!! weird moments were most of the crowd not seeming to know estranged. The only low point for me was Slash’s solo. Boring and too long. Felt unnecessary in such a long set. Things I noticed personally that were great were Melissa‘s backing vocals, Richard & Slash seem to have a great connection these days. Generally speaking the band seemed to be enjoying themselves. It felt like Axl really wanted to make the last UK gig a great one. I saw them at the Olympic stadium a few years ago (I missed the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium debacle) and this was miles better. I’ve watched YouTube footage of every gig possible during throughout NITL up to now although I might be biased I think this was up there with the best of them. Another level to Glastonbury just a week or so ago! I had a fucking blast.
