What can I say, great set! What Axl lacked in vocal department he made it up in energy and good spirits. I loved seeing him running all over the stage. Made me wish that their current stage had these long-ass walkways on the sides à la UYI tour stage
Overall the mix sounded great but at moments it was all over the place. It's clear that Axl lacks power in the low falsetto area but it seemed as there also was something funky going on with the mix levels. Also Duff's bass lacked its trademark trebly sound. There has been similiar problems with other Glasto performers I have seen during the weekend as well.
Also, Melissa seemed to be in quite low spirits. Maybe she was just nervous or having a flu or something? But all in all, it was a bliss watching them giving their all and with such a receptive audience. It seems that the press reception has been overall quite positive, excluding couple of haters who are stuck with the superficial aspects of the past, so this really feels like a redemption here
