Any members regulars at the gym? I am, although I'd hardly consider myself a "gym rat" - In fact, I now think that the title of this thread is gay. I digress.

For those of you that do go, what do you do? Cardio or lift? Or both? What kind of exercises do you recommend?

I guess people who are looking to get started could use this thread as well. It's about that time of year when people start making their New Year's resolution...

well, I used to goto the gym pretty often. lately i've been slacking, but i'm gonna start going again soon. this time last year, i would go to the gym 3 times a week minimum, maybe more. at the time i weighed about 165-170 and benched around 200, my max was like 205. =/

if i were you i'd start a workout with a little cardio to get your blood flowing. do upper body one day, and lower body the following day.

To be honest, I haven't done cardio in fucking months. Currently, I break up my lifting days into Chest/Tri one day, Back/Bi another day, and Shoulders/Legs another day - And I just continue that cycle pretty much. More often than not, i'm getting at least 5 days rest in between sessions of the same area. I know it's not enough rest, but I get bored...

I'm more of a cheese rat these days. After the holidays I plan on picking things up again. Ace Of Spades and Megadeth is how I roll when I workout.

yea i have been staying at home lately, they only play britney spears and celine dion at my gym which isn't really pump music. It's easier at home to just do inner core (or at gym) pushups, chinups, pullups, jump squats, kangaroo jumps and burpies, will have you looking quite defined in no time.

Yeah, I've been a gym regular for a few months now. I start off with fifteen minute cardio, then 45-60 minutes lifting.

We take it for granted we know the whole story.... We judge a book by it's cover and read what we want, between selected lines.

it's called an ipod.

Anyways, I have a coworker who's a bit of a meathead, but we are very like minded, so we have a tendancy to hang out. Anyways, we end up going 2-3 times a week. Dropped abit of poundage because of it. Not as much as I had hoped for though to be honest.
