It shows to me that he is at peace with this version of Gn'R that he is now in. Whether everyone is now technically a hired gun, or there is a limited partnership for a certain time period, or a more permanent new band arrangement, we may not know for some time (till these guys come out with a public statement, or someone does a tell-all interview or maybe someone writes an expose/book ). Whatever the case, IMO, there has definitely been a melting of icy hearts and some large heartedness shown on all sides. I have been a fan of every iteration of this band and it was great to have Axl keep it going after the long years of silence when the glory days were just a wistful memory. Slash and Duff acknowledging GN'R's continuing legacy from the time after they left the band is just great. I wouldn't have expected them to play or even improvise on the CD songs. But they are doing so. It should be a good sign to the extreme nostalgics and line-up fanatics to quit complaining and insisting on only their own version of the one true faith (yeah, right. who am I kidding?). Anyway, with their return to the band, if we get either entirely new music or reworked music from the vaults from the CD era, with the participation of some or all of the pre-hybrid line-up, it would be a final reaffirmation of a well brokered peace. One other good thing to come of this is that we get to see the traditional GN'R logo. It's cool to see the CD era logo being flashed during the CD songs too.
