The dude is Axl's friend. He doesn't even do much as a tour manager or whatever. He has never offered exclusive news or anything. Cut the fat, there is ZERO reason for him to be on there. All he does is spam the same political message over and over. There is a thread for politics, this isnt a political forum. It is annoying seeing the same shit everytime I open the site and then see it spilling in threads. I come here to get away from politics. Im sure it is nonstop all we have been hearing about for months now.

Agree with you on this!

I can dig that but it's kind of a no-win for us. Even if we took Del out of the feed, it would still get discussed plus the actual GN'R feed is starting with this shit now so it doesn't matter much.

Trust me when I tell you I'm as or more irritated with it than you. There just doesn't seem to be anyway around it for the moment. That's before you consider the fact that even with the Trump posts weren't a thing, this thread will still be filled with people arguing the merits or lack thereof of using words like "Rad"

I get it, but Del is by FAR the biggest offender. Its been prett much constant. Why is he there? Why not make it just band members?

Again, I say this as someone who desposes Trump and what he stands for. But this shit is EVERYWHERE in all of our lives now. Its numbing. Everytime I open MYGNR I can count on a new Del post about politics on the top of the page. Not Richard, not Duff, but Del.

Del shouldnt be on the damn feed

I understand why yourself and others might feel that way but Del does provide insights and images of the band that fans wouldn't get otherwise.

GNR, and those involved with the band, have taken a decidedly anti-Trump stance.  You can either accept it or not.  But considering this is a Guns N' Roses fan site it makes little sense to me to ignore this reality.  If the fact that members and employees of Guns N' Roses vocalize their dislike for the new US President bothers fans so much, there's always the option of offering your own opinion as to why you disagree.  Or, at the very least, tune out and only pay attention to non-political matters (or tune out completely).

The twitter feed has such a small footprint on this site that ignoring it altogether if it bothers people that much shouldn't be that difficult to accomplish.

He wrote a terrible book, which I have and keep meaning to chuck in the bin, which may or may not have influenced the song November Rain or Estranged - or their videos (nobody is quite certain about this as Axl describes the connection in undiluted Axlspeak.)

Incidentally, that book has one of the worst lines I have ever read in which he describes female genitalia as resembling sliced salami!!

I also think occasional comments by BAND members are fine. They have a right to voice their opinions as does Del. They are BAND members, though, so of course it makes sense they are in the feed regardless of their opinions.

Del doesnt belong and he is annoying. I say that as someone who agrees with his opinions

I resoectfully disagree. And again, I say that as someone who AGREES with them. The twitter feed is literally the first thing I see whenever I open this site on my phone. You can agree it is a big oart of this site, since the Womens thread was removed from the post feed for similar complaints. Band members saying what they want? I can dig. The ocassional Del post? Fine. A CONSTANT stream at the top of the site every fucking day? It is intrusive

I agree. I never even glance over there anymore because I already know what's going to be in the feed.

I agree but Slash's weird obsession with skeletal pornography, which happily seems to have passed him by, was at least equally as annoying.

Since we are speaking about Del and you brought this up... he is a horrible writer. I am not sure how his stuff got published in the first place. I don't like to be down on people who want to express themselves in any of the arts but... that book of short stories was terribly written from beginning to end. I haven't read anything else by him.

I never see the twitter feed unless I actively search for it. My computer goes directly to Discussion and News. Once I am through with D&N I go to unread content and browse through there for things that interest me. I figure anything interesting will be posted here and once in a while I will go look for the twitter feed to see if Slash has posted anything really crazy. Del is a bit of a broken record from what I have seen and I haven't looked at it in weeks.

My phone works the same as my computer. I do most of my browsing when I am waiting in line somewhere. Do most of my commenting on the computer because my phone hates the quote function and makes commenting difficult.

I agree though, what I've seen of Del on the twitter feed lately is very annoying. Part of the reason I haven't looked for it in over two weeks. :)

And people wondered how Axl could hold a grudge against Slash for so long....

If Del James is anything to go by, our answer has never been more clear.

Haha imagine if there was twitter in the 90's, there would be tweets by Del everyday talking shit about Slash with the hashtag #notmyguitarplayer

Del James is the new Matt Sorum, can't be more annoying than that.

Nah, I rather read Del James saying the very same thing every day than have to watch that drum solo Matt used to do :P
