Madagascar first encore!

I called it.

We should have an official "MyGNR guess the setlist" contest each night.

This isn't Pearl Jam who regularly play 3 hour plus shows of 30-40 songs per night and change the setlist by as many as 15-20 songs from the night before even if they are in a different market. Pearl Jam also take requests from signs in the crowd and truly vibe off the audience and will switch up the set mid-show.

What would be the point of guessing the GNR setlist? People on here get excited if GNR switches the order of a song or two, big deal. It is embarrassing that with such a small catalog, GNR do not feel the need to learn more of it. This whole "we play what we want on any night" is bullshit.

Check the attendance of PJ's US shows as compared to GNR. PJ doesn't have amazing album sales but almost every show is sold out because fans travel from show to show as you never know what you will hear.

Go Watch Pearl Jam Then You Twat.

ACDC was great. They had to cut their set with 4 songs, due to their plane breaking down in Germany when they were leaving for Oslo. They landed in Oslo at the time they were supposed to go on, got an police escorte to the stadium, and went on stage as soon as they arrived, so I would say they did what they could. Not their fault that the plane had engine trouble. They played well, the saound was great, so all in all a great night, even though they had to end the show due to the curfew:)

What!! No COMA!!! NO CITR!!! NO SO FINE!!!!!!! NO ESTRANGED!!! Terrible set list.

It's mainly the same set list for the past 9 years. I wish a new song would debut

It was clearly sarcasm. ;)

He gets me like he gets the setlist.

The first few days of a GNR tour, these forums are packed with people wanting to see what is played. By the end of that, the numbers are down in the concert threads as GNR is not known for switching up the set. Please don't tell me the set is timed to the pyro and all that. Would you rather have bombs or Estranged/Dead Horse in the set?

What was the point of posting that?

Axl is wearing a FREE THE WEST MEMPHIS THREE t shirt.

Cool. Wonder if he'd read the interview with Damien Echols thru MyGNR's thread. That bit where he said he had tears streaming down his eyes when he heard Axl's voice again and he felt as if those 17 years had never been taken from him when he heard Chinese Democracy was just damn beautiful. Good to see Axl raising awareness for the cause.

Can't make a point without resorting to childish insults? Way to let that intelligence shine, Broham  I was using PJ as a reference point. If you are happy paying $80 for the same exact show, night after night. more power to ya, Brosef.

You can also add Springsteen with Pearl Jam. I've seen multiple shows from both artist and there is no comparison. From the two Bruce concerts alone, I've seen 45 different songs.

I had the best fucking "seat" under the show! :D I stood right under Axl, first row, in the center. It was amazing! He was like 1.5m away from me during most parts of the show. I also got DJ Ashba's cigarette and I also gave him a clap on the shoulder when he ran just pass me! ^^ Amazing concert!

Except it's not the same exact show night after night, it's a pretty similar show night to night. "Same exact show" means you can recite the setlist, and the order it will be played in verbatim before the show (Assuming you know the setlist of course). Alice Cooper, AC/DC, Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, Rush, Motorhead, Stone Temple Pilots, all those bands do the same exact show. Guns N' Roses do similar shows.

I don't know for sure, since I was in the front row :P But I did turn around to get a glimpse of the back and it looked sold-out. I did read that some people (with small children) left before Guns got on stage. Two hours is a long time for small children.

Btw, I saw about 8-10 people getting carried out at the front. Mostly girls who were on the edge of passing out. I guess they could not handle the 2hour wait without water and with bad air. Eventually we got a breeze, but I doubt it helped a lot for the people in the middle.
