windows changes partition

Recommended Posts

hey last december i was running ubuntu and vista, when i upgraded vista to windows 7. today i reinstalled 7 because it was booting into safe mode randomly and my keyboard wouldn't work.

i chose to install it in the windows partition, like before, but now when i boot my laptop it no longer shows the BIOS dual boot screen, it just loads windows.

I'm pretty sure i still have linux on its partition(i cant remember the size of my hard drive and which partitions i gave each)

is there any way for me to fix this? i can give more info if needed

Windows' bootloader. It's WIndows that needs to recognise that there's another OS installed and it needs to give you the option to boot to it.

There were big changes between XP and Vista bootloader editing and there's been some small ones between Windows 7 and Vista. Like I said, there are tools to do it, you're better off using one of those. :)
