Thanks to GNR-Evolution's russtcb.

Axl's letter on the credits:

"In spite of... not in spite.

This album wasn't made so much for myself,

money, ego or fame. It was made because

Riad and those like him exist, no one seems

to care or have any idea how to approach

such a complex reality and unfortunately

we all suffer.

My thanks for any and all of the good that

came before, goes without saying. My apolo-

gies to anyone I have unintentionally con-

fused and those that I have mistakenly offended.

If absent mindedly, we left anyone out, our

sincerest apologies, we'll make it up to you.

For Beta without whom none of this or any

other imagined would exist. No one worked

harder, suffered more and endured more

nonsense often saving the entire effort long

after the bell when no one else knew how or

could.

In memory of Sharon Maynard.

There are many I miss, many I don't, some

I'll remember, others...

This is how I spent my summer. And how

with the help of many others managed to

save my own life. If something here works

for you, that's more than we could hope for.

Please take care of yourselves and within

reason each other. I wish you the best, more

of whatever blows your skirt up and less

traffic.

"Punctuality is the thief of time"

-Oscar Wylde

Love,

Axl"

Just a little trivia I found after looking through these (thanks by the way!)..

On the "Thank you" pages, left side, there's a song "Stardust" mentioned under Robin solos and Axl initial vocals. I can only assume that's an alternate name for The Blues / Street Of Dreams.

Interesting -

The below thread is from three years before CD was released. This thread contained *fake* "promo images", one of which listed "Stardust Tears" as the new name for The Blues / SOD....

http://www.mygnrforum.com/index.php?showtopic=29909&view=findpost&p=485981

Merck himself declared the images to be fakes, and the creator of the thread later confessed to faking them.

Did the 'faker' unknowingly guess a working title for SOD? Did GN'R see the fake title in the promo images and like it enough to consider as the new name for the song? Are the new images actually fakes as well from the same guy?

Another mystery added to the GN'R bulletin board mythology....

now that's a proper booklet... at least it looks better with more details about the songs & foreword from Axl

haven't checked if the lyrics 're alright, though

hehe: one mistake already found in the credits: "Tommy would like to thank"...

This has already been confirmed real a while ago. Won't go into it but just check past threads. Christ, you can see a pic of the artwork hanging on the wall in the Axl trolling Beta post. Although it is odd that they spelt Oscar Wilde's name wrong...

the amount of mistakes in all these booklets makes me think it was done by a bunch of amateurs, to say the least...

Yeah well, even the "real" one that came out had many mistakes...

The music to the album was good to go and under Axl´s total control.

What wasn´t good to go and under Axl´s total control was everything around it, marketing, the booklet etc.
