GnR Chris
I just love the two solos on that. They are EPIC. If he doesn't play at least that part of "November Rain," it's a shame.Maybe Slash and Myles should incorporate a guitar version?
mrandyk
I'd be shocked if he ever did that song with the band he has now. It isn't straight ahead rock n' roll, so he isn't going to do it.

GnR Chris
Leave it alone? Why? Does Axl leave alone all the songs he didn't really write? Yes in the end it's Axl Rose's masterpiece, but Slash's solos are as memorable as any part of the song.
Orsys
Didn't he play the solo at some awards show last year? I seem to recall that the situation was a bit wierd. Edited November 30, 2011 by Orsys
Chewbacca
Nope. Probably because he doesn't want to get an orchestra to tour with them.
Cdlove
He played the outro for it in the Grammy's last year. Awful BTW.
James Bond
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHXU5IoCxqM#From 3:55, and yes, it's pretty bad. As far as his current solo stuff with Myles, I doubt he'd ever do it. Not just because it's long or just an Axl song or whatever, but because he probably wants to keep things straightforward without pianos and stuff. They could always do it acoustic at one of those performances, but then it wouldn't quite have the same impact anyways. I say leave it be.

GnR Chris
I knew I'd be in the minority with it. It was just so awesome when I saw it live with the current Guns N' Roses. Hearing that solo ... man, it is amazing. That Grammy video ... yeah, that's horrible. But I think in an acoustic performance ala the "Sweet Child" max sessions. It would be killer to hear it more in line with the original guitar demo, except of course with the out solo.
WhazUp
I saw Slash give an interview at a LA Guitar Center back in 2008 to promote Reckless Road and his new line of guitars. During it he picked up the guitar and played the outro solo to NR, the SCOM solo, the Slither main riff, and other random things I can't remember. It was cool to hear him play NR
Nosaj Thing
That Grammy performance is awful but if we extract the NR solo, it was amazing (at least to hear him play that solo again). I miss him seating in the piano with Axl.
moreblack
it's a good solo, but then he makes those all the time.
Naupis
That picture of Slash on the piano with the spotlights flashing in the outro (from the video) is one of my favorite GNR images ever. I hope I get to see him play that again before I die.

FuddMckagan
He would have to do an acoustic version or something since the band doesn't have a pianist. It would be cool to hear him play the solos again, I'm not sure Myles would do it justice though.
