One of my favourite moments is when he decides to have this ultra deep psychotherapy rant about his family not liking him making their issues public and the crowd were all cheering when he started and he told the whole paying crowd to shut the fuck up so he could tell them something extremely deep and awkward whether they wanted to hear it or not, it's equal parts batshit and admirable but that's Axl.

I want my pain to be inflicted on others. I want no one to escape. But even after admitting this, there is no catharsis - my punishment continues to elude me, and I gain no deeper knowledge of myself. No new knowledge can be extracted from my telling. This confession has meant nothing...

''You're a very sexy girl who's very hard to please, you can taste the bright lights but you won't get them f- GIVE ME THE FUCKING BALL!!!!'' - Axl, Roskilde Festival 06

How real bands deal with rowdy crowds and bottles :)

Richie:  Eddie, what was it Shakespeare used to say?

Eddie:  'ello m'dear, I'm a playwright y'know!  G'on, give us a snog!

Richie: Uh no, what else did he used to say?

Eddie:  WHADDYA MEAN IT'S CRAP?!?  THERE'S 4 BODIES AT THE END AND HE GETS TO SHAG HIS MUM!

That was in the 70's and the early 80's

A better example would be a Stooges show (Metallic KO) Now that was rad, man

However this article did not list GNR incident

The positive side of being an Axl Rose fan:

It's relatively inexpensive, does not require repeated trips to the record store.

Metallic KO was fuckin' sick man! LOVE that album! Wish they had footage of that era of The Stooges, not just Cincinnati Pop and little 2 min vids.
