He insulted him how ?

What he replied basically amounted to "Cool Story Bro".

Let's not twist facts because it's very clear who insulted who...not that it really matters anyway.

Adler is just like Dave Mustaine crying about something he can't be apart of

No matter how hard Metallica tried to discredit him for the past 30 years, the Kill Em All fans built Megadeth, and he did play a key part in building their following in the early days. He had valid reason to be pissed off, but he had a shitty attitude. He prob. thought he couldn't be replaced because he was the band's spokesman. James wasn't at the time... of course it's the Lars and James show now. Dave's done fine on his own, but Metallica's always been bigger.

Lol. Steven calling someone else a hack. How ironic.

Indeed - pretty hilarious coming from someone who once toured with a tribute band because he'd fired his own band (Adler's Appetite) for refusing to get him drugs.

Don't talk such complete crap. A mediocre has-been headcase drummer insulted the current lineup of Guns N' Roses, thereby insulting BBF, who is widely respected as one of the greatest rock guitarists performing today. BBF, being a class act, responded by basically shrugging and saying 'why should I care?'.

BBF puts more blood and sweat into Guns N' Roses than Adler ever did, and that's a matter of fact. Who's more worthy of respect - the guy who plays through excruciating back and neck pain because he doesn't want to let the fans and the band down, or the guy who routinely got himself too fucked up to play and now slings around childish insults because he doesn't get his own way? The fact that this whiny, snivelling remnant from the past still seems to think Axl owes him a living is deeply pathetic.

Depends on how you define success. I don't think desperately clinging onto your one brief moment of glory from 25 years ago is that dazzling to be honest.

Didn't you hear? You can't be truly successful until you get kicked out of a band of junkies because you are too big of a junkie, squander all of your money on drugs and then start a band to tour the finest bars available.

Wait a minute, you also have to make yourself look like a complete ass on national tv to truly make it.

Then you will find true success.

You just described most of reality TV with "celebrity" in the title. A lot of musicians cling to their brief moment of glory to pay the bills. Being in a band that becomes world famous is hard to escape, although some just find other things to do with their lives. I don't think it's as easy as "pick up and leave" for most of them. There was no guide book on how to deal with fame and fortune.

The success of GNR is being able to have an album continue to influence and continue to make them money through licensing them for movie soundtracks or cover songs, be able to book shows and have a capacity crowd show up, because the hardcore fans will show up and bring their friends.

All you need is one classic album or one classic song and you too can be a Charlie Harper or Hugh Grant in "About a Boy". Write a "Monster Mash" or "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer". All you need is one.. GNR have a few of those. I can go to E. Bumfukk and find AFD on the jukebox. Someone in a sleazy karaoke bar in Thailand will be singing WTTJ or November Rain. Some high school band is submitting paperwork to use GNR for a play. Someone wants to cover a GNR song in a foreign language. Music producers for big budget movie is going to cut a check to use GNR songs (original and covered) for 4 or 5 movies this year.

And they're still alive. Some of them will be playing live shows based on the back catalog, some of them have new music to promote.

I can go to a black market where rock music's banned and see a bootleg GNR copy. I'm sure somewhere in an Antarctica lab, there sits an iPod with GNR on it. Point is, it's everywhere, it's left its mark on society, and it's all they really set out to do 30 plus years ago as kids with dreams. The songs keep them flush with money, it keeps putting asses in seats, and guest appearances where their calling card will always be GNR.

Nice work if you can get it.

Guy's a loser mainly because of what he did and still does to himself. That's indisputable.

Sure, 25 years ago. He's also had more failure than I'll have in 20 life times. Right now he's a broke drug addict still desperately clinging to the hope that the band that gave him the boot 20+ years ago because he was such a fuck up will reunite so that he can fund his drug habit. Yet, he continues to say things like this, insulting the one person who could potentially make a reunion happen. Doesn't get much more pathetic than that.

Go easy on Steven. To be thrown out Guns N Roses in the 90s for taking too many drugs, is quite an achievement
