Zint
So I need 9 Bond blu-rays to complete my collection.Future Shop has preorders for them at 9.99 each.Do I get them or wait for that inevitable Black Friday / Boxing Day / One Day Only type of sale where I can pick up the entire new box set for 90 bucks?hmm... Black Sabbath
As cool as the set is, I won't get it because I know they've got more coming.I'm waiting for the day that all of them are release individually.

It's all or nothing with something like that for me.Aren't there only like 4 or 5 Bond films that haven't been release as a single version by themselves? Also, are there any plans to re-issue the ones that are already out? I want individual versions, but it would also be nice if they all kind of matched. Powerage5
Cabin In The Woods was a blind buy for me...and largely based on everyone I know raving about it.I just watched it, I really liked it.I think some of the initial surprises lost some of the edge for me..I didn't know anything definite, but the vague references people would drop had me on guard for twists and turns...not just a "cabin in the woods" movie. And the slip cover provided a few indirect clues as well.Clever movie..I dug it.Watching some of the extras now.I've got to see that one yet, everyone is raving about it. Black Sabbath
If the Men In Black boxset had the 3D version of 3, I would absolutely sell the ones I have now and buy that. But it doesn't. Which is dumb.
Zint
Aren't there only like 4 or 5 Bond films that haven't been release as a single version by themselves? There are 9 that have never had a blu-ray release:Goldeneye, Octopussy, Spy Who Loved Me, You Only Live Twice, Living Daylights, Tomorrow Never Dies, Diamonds Are Forever, A View To A Kill, On Her Majesty's Secret Service. The others have had individual releases and they are still available at Amazon for around ten bucks average.Future Shop has preorders up for Spy Who Loved Me, You Only Live Twice, Living Daylights, Tomorrow Never Dies, A View To A Kill, On Her Majesty's Secret Service all for 10 bucks, they are released on October 2 (or around there, not sure of exact date as I type this). That leaves Goldeneye, Octopussy and Diamonds Are Forever for individual release. Also, are there any plans to re-issue the ones that are already out? I want individual versions, but it would also be nice if they all kind of matched.Yes there are in fact, they are individually releasing blu-rays with new covers from the box set. There's some preorders up at Amazon. The covers are pretty cool actually, but the movies are preordering at 17.99 each which is insane, when you can get all of them in the individual cases, in the box set for around $8.00 a movie...just throw the frikkin box away. Zint
Actually...looking at it again, the box set might not have individual cases. They ARE reissuing individual releases with "50 Anniversary repackaging".So maybe it's individual cases with new covers. Black Sabbath
They don't come in the individual cases in the Box Set though, or I might have just considered getting it.I'll probably just wait and end up getting all of the individual ones eventually.EDIT: Yeah, they're in the book-type-sleeve packaging. It's cool, but I'll pass for completest sake. Also, the Katy Perry doc came out this week. I know you've been waiting for that one zint

At $90 I probably wouldn't be able to resist. That's like $4 a movie. Even though like you guys I would much prefer individual cases $4 per movie is a more than acceptable tradeoff.I'm not even really a Bond fan, but progressing through all the movies is something that interests me. If I can do so cheaply then I'll be very interested. But like BS I might just opt to pick up the series one movie at a time. Zint
I was just looking at the Bond thread at blu-ray.com...what a clusterfuck!Apparantly the book isn't included anymore. There are reports that they sold through the limited edition set with the book, other reports that the book was recalled for fact corrections.Someone else said it's just a poster book. They also had a link to an unboxing video. The discs were all in sleeves.I dunno...think I'm going to finish my collection off with the individual cases.BTW...the nine that have never been released, have been divided up...someone posted this in the thread."I saw that the remaining individual releases have been divided among Target, Best Buy and Wal-Mart. Walmart has Diamonds, Octo***** and Goldeneye to pre-order for $10 a piece."Here in Canada Future Shop has 6 of them...now I have to find out who has Octopussy,Goldeneye and Diamonds.Fuck it...I'm preordering the 6 at FS for 10 bucks each, then looking for the other 3.Maybe Walmart has them here as well. Black Sabbath
Split up between retailers? Fucking A, how stupid is that... Hope that isn't true because that's just annoying.
Zint
Split up between retailers? Fucking A, how stupid is that... Hope that isn't true because that's just annoying.I've seen shit like that happen before. When the Woodstock 40th anniversary set came out, there were like three different stores that had exclusive material.Barnes and Noble had a two hour disc of previously unreleased footage with their set.Another store had previously unreleased audio tracks. You had to triple dip if you wanted everything...in fact there might have been more than three.I know it got very messy. James Bond
I'll be getting the Bond 50 box set as I never picked up the previous Blu-ray releases. They're also supposed to be doing a limited GoldenEye steelbook release in the near future. In the Bond 50 set they've left a spot for Skyfall too which works out nicely.
