DirtyDeeds
So, so many, it's embarrassing. Casablanca and Jurassic Park, for starters.
AbominableHoman
Casino and Raging Bull when I made a quick search through the IMDB 250. I can't really be held accountable for anything pre-1965, imo. I just saw Goodwill Hunting a week ago.
Dariablue
Really Jurassic Park? It's so good! I remember getting so scared during that when I was a kid. Haven't seen Casablanca either. Although I did watch Breakfast at Tiffany's for the first time about two years ago. Haven't seen any Marilyn Monroe movies either. Oops. The scene where he embarrasses that douchebag in the bar is just class. I share a similar view on formal education (I'm way more successful as a self-educator than I am working within the school structure, though I do recognize it works well for some folks). It served to motivate me to muddle through certain math classes. Great movie. Edited July 24, 2012 by DirtyDeeds

DirtyDeeds
I looooooove Hitchcock but I think Vertigo is one of his worst movies, despite it being one of the most famous. I just think it's not as clever and doesn't live up to the writing and plot of many of his other ones. I feel the praise is unwarranted. Strangers on a Train and North by Northwest are the shit, though.

I'm actually glad I watched it when I did, because if I was younger it wouldn't have resonated with me the way it did and I probably would have forgotten about it. All of the dialog between him and Robin Williams was excellent. The GraduateSame here. It's been staring at me from the beginning of the instant queue for awhile now. DirtyDeeds
The GraduatePsycho Butch Cassidy and the Sundance KidDude, those three are probably in the top five of most all-time greatest movie lists (certainly mine included)! You really owe it to yourself. Get your arse to the library or Blockbuster or online or whatever.

I'm not sure it's on my top ten...Rear Window, North by Northwest, Notorious, Psycho, Rebecca, Strangers on a Train, Shadow of a Doubt, Spellbound, The Lady Vanishes, 39 Steps...no, not quite. Strangers on a Train and North by Northwest are the shit, though.I don't have that much knowledge about Hitchcock so I don't really know what I should begin with watching The only film I've really seen is Psycho (seen it like 4-5 times) and I remember seeing The Birds when I was 5, 6 or something like that.I've been thinking about looking more into his films but right now I'm stuck with watching old horror B movies

Although, I have no desire to see the last one. What the fuck??!?!!!? Paul Newman and Robert Redford in probably the greatest western (made outside of the era most westerns were made) of all time??!!? That movie is hilarious. And it's like the king of all buddy movies. Personally speaking, I think Cool Hand Luke is the best Paul Newman movie, but this is a close second. Many would disagree and I respect that opinion. Either way, it's such a classic and you just got to see it!

All of the dialog between him and Robin Williams was excellent.Yeah, that scene where Robin is telling him about how he had tickets to see the Sox in the World Series in '75 where Carlton Fisk hit the home run he willed fair... that scene has stayed with me. In part that's because I'm such a baseball fan and in part because it's just such a great life lesson. But I love how he and Will just are getting into it together, both re-enacting that famous at-bat, before Robin drops the hard-hitting punchline about that story. Man, such a great scene. There are many great scenes in that movie.Oh and for another contribution, The Sound of Music. Edited July 24, 2012 by DirtyDeeds
