I'm not sure how lucky he truly is. It seems anybody has a chance with her. I just haven't met her yet. ;)

I guarantee that "relationship" is 1000000% fake. Totally for the publicity.

Also look how many dudes have dumped her. I think her recent one she broke up, but other than that almost all of them dropped her. Either she's doing them for publicity or she's legit nuts...and not in the good way.

Still want a Trumpian villain for the next movie, especially if they don't bring back Waltz.

There's a big pro-Brosnan circle jerk on /r/JamesBond on Reddit right now. People coming out of the woodwork saying they prefer Die Another Day to Casino Royale, or any other Craig film for that matter. lolwut?

...as a comedy piece, surely?

Holy shit, /r/JamesBond fucking loves Brosnan a little too much. Goldeneye is ranked as the 3rd best movie (up to DAD), TMD is top 10 and TWINE is 12th.

Both Dalton movies are in the top 6, however, so I have no idea what to think

Where's that list? I've never seen it I don't think. Goldeneye is top 10 I'd say maybe, but the rest are towards the bottom IMO.

I will say though - I actually sort of enjoyed TWINE on my last watch. It could've been a pretty good Bond film, it just missed the mark by a little a few too many times. But it had a good plot, good villains, dat Q farewell, and nice exotic locations.

It's in the stickied post about Die Another Day (lulz). Here it is

I'm actually a bigger fan of TWINE than almost everyone here, I believe (going back to our rankings from like a year ago). I think with a little work and a better casting director, the movie would've been close to top 10, and possibly tied with Goldeneye as Brosnan's best.

If this ends up being true, he would have to be insane to turn it down. 150 million has GOT to be the biggest salary an actor has ever been paid for a single film in history, right?

Well 2 films, but I'm still fairly certain that $75 million per a single film is the most ever, without including contracts that allow for a % of the profits. Even then I have a feeling it's very close, if not the most.

Also holy fuck, please dear God let that be enough to lure him back!

Ah, is it for two films? I read a different article but the same rumor, but it said one film.

Just now, DieselDaisy said:

If he doesn't want to do it, he doesn't want to do it.

He's also said he would do Bond again for a nice, fat paycheck. So if this happens...everybody wins I guess?

Forbes recently named The Rock as the current highest paid actor. Surely taking this offer would put Daniel in that spot by default? Jesus Christ, that's a lot of fucking money. Do it Daniel! Connery would be shitting himself right now. First they give Craig a co-producer credit on SPECTRE and next he'll get even more to be lured back than Connery did for Diamonds.

I now believe even more - Craig will be back. Sorry Hiddleswift.

We got Diamonds are Forever out of Connery being there just for the paycheck. Be careful what you wish for.

I thought Connery was pretty good in that. It was the other aspects of the film that was bad. The unimaginative setting for starters. Vegas is not really an exotic setting, I guess it would be for people living in the U.K, but I've always found it to be tacky. Charles Gray was a silly Blofeld, the henchman were rediculous. A lot of fans didn't like Jill St. John but she did a good job playing a loud mouth American, someone who just didn't fit with Bond's character. Plus she looked hot no matter what wig she wore.

The things the film had going for them was Connery and the hilarious lines. "I didn't even know there was a pool there!" gets me every time.

"Hi! I'm Plenty!"

"But of course you are!" also cracks me up.

Diamonds are Forever was the Moore movie that Moore never made. Too much weird campy humor and a poor story/villain. If Lazenby didn't become a proto-hippie we might be talking about Diamonds are Forever as the best Bond movie, assuming they continued the storyline from OHMSS and Lazenby improved his craft.

That's a perfect "what if" scenario in the Bond world

PS - DC doesn't seem like the type to phone it in for a paycheck. Either he'll accept it and give it his all or he'll decline.

@Crazyman is right - I just don't see Craig being the type to phone in any performance. He's very dedicated to his acting regardless of the overall film.

I think what gives this weight aside from the legitimate sources picking up the story is that Craig hasn't said anything at all. In other words, he hasn't permanently closed the door. That leads me to believe that they're still trying their best to reach an agreement. Even Brosnan dropped more cryptic hints in 2003 and 2004 despite being enthusiastic about returning.

An inside source on the CommanderBond forums said that script work is definitely underway and dropped some strong hints that Purvis and Wade are handling it.

So we've got Craig rumours and Purvis and Wade working on a script. Now - the articles all state that the offer is coming from Sony. Who are Sony to make an offer unless they are the distributor/financer? I think we indirectly have confirmation that EON/MGM have renewed their distribution deal with Sony/Columbia.

Things for Bond 25 suddenly look up.
