That international trailer looks so badass...I think javier looks like Max Zorin a bit...but he was a classic bond foe anyway. I think this could be one of the best bond films. I like the premise of it so far

Javier Bardem is going to be so great in this. One of my favorite actors ever. Finally we are getting a classic Bond villain for Craig.

And thanks, man.

I dunno why people hate Quantom so much. I think Craig is an excellent Bond

I think a big part of it is because it is really dark, they took a lot from the Bourne series and Bond was too hung up with Vesper when they are used to him moving on. It kind of discredited him as a super Agent.

Quantum in general just felt like a rushed job, plus Casino Royale set the bar pretty high. Part of the problem with Quantum was that the script wasn't finished prior to filming because of the writer's strike. Apparently Marc Forster and Daniel Craig actually did rewrites on the set to try to make sense of it otherwise it might have been even worse. There's lots of good (the opera scene, the taxi drive, the rooftops chase, and so on) but lots of bad too. Forster didn't do a bad job but I don't think some of his directorial choices were right for Bond. The opening car chase, for example, was a mess with all that shaky cam.

That said, Craig's performance made the film for me. I really like the relationship that's developing between Dench's M and Craig's Bond.

He really is. But then again, it's that after the pile of shit that were the Pierce Brosnan movies, having Cassino Royale, which is one of the best bond movies ever was a huge surprise to bond fans. Daniel Craig is a hell of a Bond but he got a boost from the awesome movies he got to do instead of the shit Pierce had to be in.

I thought the first three Brosnan films were good, Die Another Day was horrible though. Awesome pretitle sequence though, had potential but they fucked it up.

Didn't know that about the Writer's Strike, that makes more sense. The opera scene was my favorite part. Beautifully shot. Craig was awesome like usual. My biggest beef he didn't bang that Bolivian chick.

I can't take the Brosnan movies. Too bad for him... he looked really cool as JB. Goldeneye was the best but it was still kinda weak, IMO.

Goldeneye was the "Best of James Bond", Russians, betrayals, sexy but sadistic female henchmen, cars being chased by a fucking TANK. Tina Turner doing the credits who sounds like Shirley from Goldfinger.

It was still a step back from what they did with Licence to Kill. They could have build something with that. They shook things up with Dalton, but since the film didn't do well at the Box Office they decided to play it safe with Brosnan. I feel with Daniel Craig they went back to Dalton level awesomeness.

Die Another Day had a lot of potential. The first half of the film is pretty good and dare I say innovative (Bond being captured, the torture being part of the title sequence, and so on). Once Halle Berry arrives it's all downhill though. I never liked the gene therapy thing and once Bond arrives in Iceland the action takes over and whatever story there might have been gets lost. Then the god-awful CGI during the surfing stunt. I've seen Pixar movies that look more realistic. The fencing scene is great though.

And yes, he should have banged Olga Kurylenko. He did bang Agent Fields though, and she's like 20 years younger. Good for him!

It looks like he'll have his way with the ladies of Skyfall judging from the trailer.

Finally, he needs to up his body count. Agent Fields was hot though, could do without the Diana Rigg inspired hairdo. There can only be one Diana Rigg.

Haley Berry and the penis jokes. Oh and the guy wearing a suit that controls a satellite.

You know who would have made a great James Bond? Liam Neeson. Actually was offered the role back in the early 90's when they were looking for a replacement for Dalton. Didn't want to be a typecast now he's in Taken

Someone else who appreciates Licence to Kill, it felt like a Fleming novel put on screen again, possibly for the first time since On Her Majesty's Secret Service, same with Casino Royale. Licence was my favourite JB film by far though, Robert Davi was absolutely superb as Sanchez, a lot of it was fucking brutal, you really felt for Bond, the characters had multiple dimensions to them, there was badassery a-plenty... Looking forward to Skyfall, although I probably need to see Quantum first, I tried to watch it once and got bored about 15 minutes in. Maybe I need to make more of an effort.
