Lazenby walking away was a big "what if?" in the series. His career failed after that. I heard he was about to do a film with Bruce Lee but Lee died.

Yes, he was in talks with Bruce for Game of Death which Bruce was due to complete after he had wrapped Enter the Dragon. George never filmed anything and did not do anything for the, 'so bad it is good', hodge podge which was assembled together by Golden Harvest in 1978. Interestingly though, there is a big Bond connection with that version as John Barry does the music for the international print, probably his finest score (alongside OHMSS)
