AXL_N_DIZZY
One the negative side- the media will have an absolute field day with this (Axl finally makes it to "Fat Elvis" status)... but what's fucking new when it comes to Axl/GN'R? Not sure that in and of itself is worthy of giving up long-term fandom- although it sucks obviously. On the positive side (for the die-hards anyway)- the shows will probably kick major ass and the band will be physically in one place with predictable days off and hopefully time to record and write together etc. Who knows? It could end up being a very productive time for the band- even if Axl spends the majority of his time in Vegas chasing skirt (or more accurately- having skirt chase him) and partying his ass off with Dj or whatever...Anyway- hardly a perfect situation or what I had envisioned for the end of 2012- but for some crazy reason I have a better "feeling" about this than say Axl holing himself up in his mansion for months on end, sending Fernando out on fast food runs and shipping CD's of several versions of the same note back and forth to Fortus or whatever. We've all been there and done that at this point. I just think the more active- the better... and who knows- maybe being on Dj's "turf" for a month straight will help Dj motivate Axl to start seriously considering new music. Here's hoping anyway... On another note- great to see Bumble still in the fold. Edited August 13, 2012 by AXL_N_DIZZY

WhazUp
It is definitely possible, I wouldn't be surprised if him or Duff come out during at least one of the gigs
Cosmo
I was thinking the same thing and I say if it were already planned, they'd probably use it as promotion. But I do think it's highly possible he'll make an appearance.

fozzie
http://thejointlasvegas.com/Home/Events/Event-Details.aspx?id=235Guns N’ Roses has teamed up with Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to invade Las Vegas with a never-before-seen, one-of-a-kind music experience. Each night, the band will perform an electrifying show featuring a set list created exclusively for The Joint.Exact details about the show are being kept under wraps but fans can expect the raw and gritty heavy metal Guns N’ Roses is known for along with a few surprise elements. Produced exclusively by AEG Live, Appetite for Democracy is unlike any show the band has ever done before or will ever do again. If this is true and not just advertising blurb then it could be interesting but its that word..if
dalsh327
I think he'll show up, also convenient for Duff to take a short flight from Seattle to Vegas. Edited August 13, 2012 by dalsh327

sleeper
Duff announced that Loaded was doing some opening dates for Alice Cooper and Alice is touring in November. So that might keep Duff form playing any dates with Axl in Vegas.

Snowmass
For those that say Axl is doing "the casino" thing with his band....think again. This isn't some casino in bum ass Minnesota, it's Las Vegas and the Joint kicks ass. I saw a band (Bon Jovi......that's not the point though LOL) when the joint was brand new maybe 3-4 yrs ago. This is an all new Joint and it's awesome. Santana played there for a real "residency" as in maybe a year. Go....enjoy......it's a legend in a legendary place. Las Vegas! Snowmass
You can go to Vegas and see Axl as many times as you want. For people that go to multiple shows on a tour this is awesome. Rather than going to 6 cities you can go to Vegas, park it, kick some ass and see 1-12 shows. I see it as the future for tours. LA, Vegas, Chicago, NYC, Miami residencies. Axl_morris
On "Vacation" right now in Florida and managed to log on to the internet to find out this news. Everyone was scared after the Euro tour that the band will go into silence. These shows are keeping the band out there for us internet die hard fans. So I'm glad to hear this. Any news on the London show being released?
