Good to see Axl is engaged in philanthropical events,

didn't Bumble do some M.S benefit a month or so ago too?

No reason to hate on this, its actually very admirable, great job gnr!

When is the last time GNR played the Bay Area?

Good benefit to take part in, but when have GNR ever had anyone sitting on stage with them, esp. special needs kids?

Should be interesting, they're not headlining act, it's a stripped down show, Axl might be doing some self-censoring, and might wind up doing songs they've never done before (cover songs, anyway).

It is a good warmup for the residency, but good to see them adding their names to the many other bands who've been a part of it for 20-something years.

GNR played at the Oakland Coliseum in December 2006. I was there. That was the night Lars came out on drums member?

I also saw the at the Warfield that year twice in SF, havent been out here since. Fresno was cancelled that year.

That's also Brain's neck of the woods...if Lars is on break, he'll prob. be at the show.

Credit where credit is due. Good for Axl and the band to perform for a worthy cause. I've given the band a lot of shit recently for motivations that seemed strictly driven by money, but I applaud the actions conducted here. I hope the performance goes over well and they're able to raise money for a worthy cause.

I live in the Bay Area and have been to 7 or 8 of these benefits. It is, in my opinion, the greatest annual concert event anywhere. It's been a dream of mine to see GNR (whatever lineup) play. Or even Axl by himself on the piano. But I still didn't see this coming AT ALL.

It's such a great show with such a positive vibe, that I hope Axl doesn't fuck it up somehow. I think he'll do fine.
