94-96 demos for sure. I am sure we will get the CD leftovers at some point, but those old demos will never be released and I am sure some great stuff is their.

would be interesting to hear the 1996 version of this i love

For me it would be HOB 2001, VMA's 2002, 2006 Tour Documentary, Chinese Democracy 2 (Finck, Bucket, Brain material) and the London 2012 DVD.

Tough to choose between CDII and 94-96 demos.

Agree but the whole poll is kinda unfair in the regard that presumably CDII has vocals on it and the 94-96 demos don't...so it's not really fair imo.

CD II > Axl's Autobiography > Demos from 94-96 > UYI Tour Documentary > 2006 European Tour Documentary > London 2010 Proshot Bluray > 2002 VMA Rehearsals > 2010 South American Tour Documentary > Download Festival 2006 Proshot DVD > Shaq

This.

I'm tempted to put the '94-'96 demos above Axl's autobiography, but I just don't know if they were really that good. If anybody from the band thought they were, a) they would have pushed and pushed for them to be made into full songs, or B) they would have incorporated them into their own projects. We already know Fall to Pieces came from those sessions, but I think if Slash had any other killer riffs from that era he would have incorporated them into Snakepit/solo songs.

I may switch the VMA rehearsals with the South American doc. I mean, how long could the rehearsals have possibly been? Still, the mystique of that band makes it enticing.

There are three things that stand out that I'd want more than the others.

Old GNR demos, UYI Tour documentary and Axl's autobiography.

I'd want all three about equally, but I voted Old GNR demos.

The others are far behind on my wanting list.

1/ CD2
2/ 1994-6 demos
3/ UYI doc

The rest I do not care about.

Essentially new material. It is therefore between CDII and the mid 94-96 demos. Considering I do not think much work was done in 1994-96, judging from the autobiographies, I will choose CDII. If you read the accounts of this period, 1994-96, it was all, Axl not showing up, Slash and Duff getting sick waiting and leaving, expensive gear lying around unused. They got some things done but I am guessing, not much (we would probably end up merely with twenty minunutes of jamming).

Wait, Stradlin/Duff made complete demos during this period (inc/ Down by the Ocean). Are these included? If so I may revise my opinion.
