Stop saying 'no homo.'

I don't mind MSL or volcano. Make your own opinions. Who cares who is liked?

We've deviated from the topic!

Yeah we did. I dont mind, and even like MSL and volcano(no ho... phaggot), very funny guys.

That said, November Rain is still boring as fuck. "Dont Cry" is another boring shit.

bacardimayne and I are the first official gay couple in MyGNRforum!!!

I find November Rain a bit too meandering to my likes, until the end when the epic piano outtro is enhanced by even more epic guitar work by Slash. This I Love is just too operatic and pompous for my taste. But it is just musical preferences, it is hard to explain and it doesn't really matter what we like. Other fan favourites that I don't really like that much are Prostitute, Street of Dreams and the live version of Knockin' that, although it is a great song, just has reached the level of saturation for me. Of songs that has been played before regularly but not any more, I would have to say that I can control my enthusiasm for Bad Obsession, Attitude, Out Ta Get Me (although the ferocity of some live versions is undeniable and awesome) and My Michelle whenever Sebastian Bach is let up on stage (it's a good song without him).

Taking things too seriously since 1988. -- I wonder how it is to be an agnostic, dyslexic insomniac, lying awake at night wondering if there really is a dog. -- NEVER EXPECT, ALWAYS HOPE.

Yeah, when I was younger and Sweet Child was played all the time I wasn't a huge fan. Besides 'Think About You,' it was the other song off of AFD that I skipped. Now I'm a fan of the song I suppose out of nostalgia and it seems to be the one song that gets everyone excited when played at a bar or wherever (kind of like Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" - always hated that song until it became a party/good time vibe song).

Though it's not a "popular" song in the same sense as the classics, I consider Street of Dreams popular 'cause it's played at every single concert nowadays. This song seems like it's lifted right from Broadway but just doesn't do anything for me. There's no chorus, no hook, no beat - nothing. The little piano intro is all it has going for it imho. It's the one song that I wish they'd get rid of from the live act (so long as they don't replace it with Rhiad - the other song on CD I skip).

The only GNR song I've NEVER liked is Breakdown. At one point, I even liked Shotgun Blues.

Nowadays I really don't like Jungle, Patience or Prostitute.

Downzy.....wtf!!!!!!!
The Blues......SOD.....it is a classic. Sounds like it belonged on an Illusion. I still love it to this day.

When the first leaks came out, I fell in love with that song. Then listened to it a million times before the album came out.

So for me I guess it was the song that bridged the gap between classic band and new band. The song that signaled that Axl was in fact coming back to the music world.

Live and Let Die & Knocking on Heaven's Door... they do absolute nothing for me. Both boring as hell.

I also used to hate Civil War, but now, it has started to kinda grow on me.

Whats wrong with the live version of KoHD?

It's 10 minutes of 3 chords repeated over and over again.

Is Since I Don't Have You popular? It's the only song in GN'R's catalog I have always intensely disliked. The porno guitars coupled with the video... it's just too much.

In regards to Slash, I read a desperate fan's message about, what if one of us were to die and looking back I had the possibility of a reunion now, blah blah blah. And my thoughts are, "Yeah, and while you're at the show your baby accidentally kicks a candle and burns your house down, killing himself and the rest of your family."

Joy in Repetition, just like when Slash does his ten minute version of Rocket Queen.

To each their own, but I remember getting the leaks from Rio and Vegas in 2001 and thinking the intro was cool but then the song didn't go anywhere. I remember before hearing it people describing it as the next November Rain, so perhaps my expectations were a little higher than they should have been (as November Rain was the song that inspired me to learn to play the piano - even though I learned later it's pretty basic). The only song that I thought showed any promise from those first few years in the early 2000s was Madagascar because it was built around a well structured hook. But until I heard Better, I wasn't holding out a lot of hope for new GNR material based on what I had heard so far (CD, Silkworms, The Blues), with exception going to Madagascar.
