I think Seven is a song about good luck and Zodiac is a song about birthdays

Are you serious or are you kidding?

Are you serious?

Atlas Shrugged isn't about the book too much. I think you can assume there's some kind of link. The Seven Deadly Sins? Zodiac could be about astrology?

take Catcher is it about the book, not really there's a connection. So I'd see it as a metaphor.

I could see Axl writing some lyrics about how he isn't a serial killer. Like with the Manson thing, people were saying he was endorsing Manson bcos he played one of his songs. What was his response, would it be a song lyric? Just spit balling really.

Like Atlas Shrugged, he carried the weight of GNR on his shoulders or something. It could be like a Watching the Wheels kind of song.

The Atlas Shrugged thing seems weird to me, as Axl has publicly said he is more liberal. Yet, Atlas Shrugged glorifies far more conservative, anti gov't tenets, while chastising the socialistic left. So it is against his political beliefs.

As far as Seven, thats pretty obvious. He wanted to originally name his first kid Seven.

Seven is a song written about what Axl is going to name his first kid. Duh.

any source? I think a Seven quote was used on Madagascar.

like I was saying he could be giving his opinion on it. Like he did with Catcher in a way. Inspired by Atlas Shrugged. So on one hand you're like hey that's like my situation but also I don't really agree completely with the philosophy. Quite a few of the titles are ambiguous. Madagascar, the most polluted island in the world or an old pirate colony. Or was it written for the movie. Alex breaks free only to realize he misses home.

Maybe it's an album about nothing.

Just like your threads. :rofl-lol:

or Seinfeld.

Zodiac is certainly a song about the serial killer. Axl seems to be fascinated by serial killers (Charles Manson, Dexter), and there's the encrypted message on the Zodiac codes on The Spaguetti Incident cover that says "Fuck 'em all." I see a strong relation here, I would be surprised if Zodiac is not about the serial killer case.
