Towelie
Real important question: will there be a cd version to buy? is it a new album too?It will be released on DVD, Blu-Ray and limited edition 2 disc version, featuring the live concert DVD and a second disc of five unreleased songs, feauturing The General, Seven, Atlas Shrugged, Soul Monster and Goin' Down.Either that, or it won't be released at all. Those are your two choices.
wasted
Option #1 all the way. Those two discs as in cds? Sounds good. Appetite for Democracy is the new GNR album. Edited March 12, 2013 by wasted

Gunzen
I was at the show on Weds the 7th when they played CITR and TWAT. Would be cool if there were parts from that show. And FWIW, Axl sounded very good, not great, but by no means embarrassing at all. Estranged was amazing. This should be a good show. *crosses fingers*
Black Sabbath
Hopefully nothing gets cut from the setlist for the release.
Axl_morris
A 3 hour+ concert wouldn't leave much time for extra's if there was any.

dalsh327
Axl's probably going to be more active in promoting this, and we don't know if the studio has other projects going on at the same time, other concerts they have to go shoot, and they're just letting people know where they're at in the process. It's going to be shown in theaters, so it's going to take more time. And the question - what theaters are going to show it? It's not like Katy Perry, Michael Jackson, or Justin Bieber, where they were guaranteed to break even. This is R rated entertainment, and probably not going to be shown in thousands of theaters. jthunders13
My guess is that with this we would get a bluray/dvd release first...the theatre thing is hard to pull of unless you just do major cities.

Guest NGOG
I don't see why input from the label on a DVD release is necessary. Unless they see something to be gained from the project and want in on it?
highvoltage
I'm still hopeful. I know the rockfuel guys have worked really hard on this release, and I'm optimistic we'll see something very soon.

Bruno P.
Any more info you guys can give to us? Why is it taking too long to get the release date?
rockfuel
The label is 100% involved with this release. The band is signed with Interscope and the label holds the A/V rights. Nothing can happen without the Label. The DVD is being distributed by Interscope/Universal. This is going through the legit and proper channels, procedures and contracts unlike the London show. Get it ? We are GNR fans just like you. We are on the same team as you. We are doing trying to please the fans and give them an amazing product.. That is our only goal.. We are more passionate about this then anyone.. We only wish you can sit in our seats for an hour to appreciate what we are doing, and the progress.... Everything we are doing is 100% official and we have contracts in place...yes, lots of lawyers and lots of money spent.. all to deliver GNR fans an amazing concert experience on the big screen and a high quality DVD that you can enjoy for years to come
dalsh327
Is it just going to be the concert, or are you including interviews/backstage footage? Looking forward to seeing it in the theater (if you're doing that). Edited April 4, 2013 by dalsh327

rendestroi95
DVD and Blu-ray will be released and will feature some bonus contentFor the record, the clip that was put up briefly was unmixed (as the post stated) . You will see that Axls voice sounds great and strong the entire show . The 02 show was very poor editing, poorly shot, and poor mixing and was never approved by GNR camp before it aired. It was not VH1's fault or Axl's fault. It was some crazy producer who decided to take matter in his own handsand told VH1 the show was approved, when it wasn't . The same people who announced the O2 show was being released in theaters, then suddenly was cancelled.. Axl had nothing to do with that as well. We are doing things correctly, with the proper approvals, and the final results will speak for themselves. thats cool Edit:______________________________________________"The 02 show was very poor editing, poorly shot, and poor mixing and was never approved by GNR camp before it aired.
