SunnyDRE
Coheed and Cambria - all of their albums are fantasticQFTNo they really are not. I like them, but they're all over the place imo. I can't just throw one of their albums on and go about my business......I have to use the skip button. For the topic: Sunny Day Real Estate - The Rising Tide

Each album is somewhat of a roller coaster ride and I find myself laughing at Claudio's vocals every now and then. I love that about C&C though, every album has so much

Chewbacca
A good recent prog metal/rock/djent albums are animals as leaders and weightless and there's also concealing fate by Tesseract.
Zeppelin
One of my favourite, newer progressive artists is Astra. The Black Chord and The Weirding are two awesome albums.

I'm convinced that one is my favorite and then I'm convinced otherwise a month later. Almost all of their albums have occupied that place for me.I feel the same way, can't possibly rank them. I heard Gravemakers and Gunslingers on the radio the other day and have been on a No World For Tomorrow kick ever since
T.wa.T
Although alot of people dislike TOOL, their albums kick major ass. Their live shows can get a little boring if you've seen them multiple times on the same tour, but if you haven't seeing them live is a great experience. I've seen them 8~9 times over the years since Aenima came out, never been disappointed.

sweetness
I think Tool is an excellent band, I really love everything they've done, but I can't justify spending over 200 bucks to see anybody live especially on top of travel costs these days. Hope whenever they get back on the road they get the fuck over themselves and offer a reasonable ticket price

moreblack
Forgetting for a sec about Yes, Genesis, Rush, ELP, Dream Theater... Pretty much anything Neal Morse has worked on is good prog. From Spock's Beard to Transatlantic, Flying Colors and the Neal Morse Band. All good shit. Kaipa from Sweden I recently discovered, and they've got decades of solid prog Ritual is folky prog, I dig the mashing of styles
Zurimor
If this develops into a general prog rock thread, I have to mention Lazuli. Edited February 1, 2017 by Zurimor
