Normally I'd totally agree, but an old school Stones blues album gets a big pass from me. It's like going back to their early days, and they picked a lot of lesser known tunes. Having them crank it out in a circle in a few days is just the best thing they could have done. What matters is, it's the rolling stones giving a fresh interpretation on the blues. Keith with his trademark open G tuning, mick with his harmonics and bad ass vocal delivery. charly with his rock solid drumming. and with Eric "god" Clapton making cameo appearance. the inventor of playing blues through a marshall amp with a les paul. doesn't get any better than this. But that's mostly because I don't really expect anything good from Metallica anymore anyway. The great thing about the blues is- the older and crustier the people playing it are, the better it usually sounds. The Stones are right in their prime for this shit now!
