Guest NGOG
June 18, exciting. I'm betting Kanye sets the industry alight yet again with this one.
Deepest Shame
June 18, exciting. I'm betting Kanye sets the industry alight yet again with this one. It seems to be heading that way. He seems really angry with the songs we've been able to hear so far, if you saw him on SNL that much was clear.
Cosmo
This might stir up some shit. Album name Yeezus with a song called "I Am A God?". Good luck with that
Dan H.
So is this an actual KANYE WEST album? It's not a collaboration or GOOD MUSIC album?
Nobodys_Fault
Love the title. The SNL performance reminded me of the scene in "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story" when he's first introduced to cocaine.

Jakey Styley
This album is going to piss White America off so bad.The songs he performed on SNL were so angry, I love it. He reinvents himself and sometimes even the genre with each album.
chevelle
I fucking loved the SNL songs, and I loved MBDTF too, so I really can't wait to hear this.

Guest NGOG
He reinvents himself and sometimes even the genre with each album. So true. He keeps evolving and leaving behind each successful groove that he's created for himself. Most artists would just kick back in a successful formula and make a career out of it. Kanye's a legit artist.

Kanye's a legit artist. "So many people get caught up in trying to remake their first album and it's impossible for me to make another College Dropout. But I could make the best 808's and Graduation that I could make, and that's how I think you keep on advancing as an artist. So few, you know, hip-hop artists have ever advanced; their songs on their seventh or eighth albums sound exactly like the songs on their first album. More than an artist, I'm a real person and real people grow and I wanna sing my growth."

That stage, the backing band, Kanye himself... it was all perfect. Especially Heartless and Stronger. Robocop was also amazing.

Amir
Thanks for the links. He was screaming at the end of the gig I went to in London like he is here on the beginning of Black Skinheads. Guy's gone off the deep end, album is definitely gonna be interesting. Doubt I'll like it anywhere near as much as My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, though. Estranged Reality
I predicted after his breakup with Kim (it's inevitable, folks) that he'd release a really angry, spiteful record - but it seems like he's already gotten there. "Black Skinhead" is vicious, although the 'white people hate to see black guys with white girls' angle is really getting old and played-out at this point. If he wants to actually address racial issues in his lyrics perhaps he should ask why black rappers can refer to "white bitches" in songs but Eminem would be blacklisted for years if he ever put out a track about black bitches. There's still a lot of racism in the world and there's reasons for black artists to want to touch on that in their lyrics, but with Kanye it's increasingly just a part of his ego and need to feel oppressed. I haven't really seen much scrutiny from the press or anyone regarding his relationship with Kim K because it's interracial - more-so just because she's known for being a press-hungry fake. Unless you're in the Bible belt I think interracial relationships are really not that taboo anymore, and those kinds of people wouldn't be the ones paying attention to Kanye anyway, so I doubt very much that any scrutiny he's received for his relationship with Kim has anything to do with her skin colour (or his). But yeah. I'm looking forward to this quite a lot.

I don't think anyone really gives a shit about him banging a white chick, but I'm still looking forward to the new album. That need to feel oppressed is something he has in common with Axl as well.
