Possibly cancelled use to lack of interest? Maybe they jumped at the chance to book gnrs lead guitarist under the assumption they were getting dj ashba.

Anyone can do an AMA. It's not something that's set up and scheduled by the Reddit mods.

Reddit is made up of "subreddits" - each subreddit is for a different topic, and any user can create a subreddit. There's a Guns N' Roses subreddit for example. Also r/news, r/politics, r/funny, etc... and then some really weird ones like this one... r/birdswitharms

Generally people submit links, images or posts relevant to the subreddit it's being posted in. Other users can upvote or downvote submissions, submissions with the highest number of upvotes are displayed on the "front" page, submissions with lots of downvotes get buried (the basic premise). People can make comments, which can also be upvoted or downvoted (most popular comments go to the top of the thread).

When you view reddit.com, you're looking at the "frontpage", which contains popular posts from whichever subreddits you're subscribed to. It's like a feed of links/images of all the stuff you're interested in. When you view the site as a guest, you see submissions from "default" subreddits... it's not until you register and start finding the interesting subs that the fun really starts IMO.

There's also a lot of "inside" jokes on reddit... so it gets more interesting the longer you've been there.
