What are you watching? a.k.a. Film Thread v 2.0

4,129 posts in this topic

Let's start this thread over again. :)

This thread is to passively discuss movies you've seen recently that may not merit an entire thread, or which you only want to post a few comments about. It's a spin-off of the previous thread which was very popular, so we decided to restart it now that the new film forum has taken off.

I just saw Mud the other night. Really loved it. McConaughey has had such an unlikely career renaissance.

Night Moves. Classic 70's flick with Gene Hackman and a young Melanie Griffith.

I watched the Ginger Baker documentary: Beware of Mr. Baker. It was top notch. The best music documentary I've seen in quite some time.

Maniac with Elijah Wood.

Frodo's a serial killer and you watch from his POV.

The most fucked up shit I've seen in a while.

I'm watching Kick-Ass for a laugh and I have to say, including Nic Cage has enhanced this movie endlessly.

Rurouni Kenshin
Lame, I know, but being a fan of the manga/anime I had to watch this movie.
It was not that bad for a live action, actually the fighting scenes were nice (the last one was really close to the manga, with the battoujutsu and everything).

The soundtrack was awful, they should have used the anime’s soundtrack.

I watched El Topo and The Getaway. Finishing up Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore. Ellen Burstyn is great.

Would you agree that it's Tarantino's best work?
