DR DOOM
Knockin on Heaven's Door is one of the worst covers ever done by a reputable band. It is agonizing.Nobody thought so at the time though
J Dog
Hurt and Watchtower are probably 2 of the best ever. Lots of love for KOHD, but Hair of the Dog might be my favorite by GNR.Clash - I Fought the LawManson - Sweet DreamsChili Peppers - Higher GroundTina Turner - Proud MarySnoop Dogg - Lodi Dodi
Iron MikeyJ
If I had to pick some from gnr they would be two that were never officially released, but I love the way the old band did Whole lotta Rosie and Dead Flowers. My two favorite gnr covers, old band I mean.

Snake-Pit
All Along the Watchtower; Jimi Hendrix's cover of that Bob Dylan song; clearly that's at number 1 (for me). This Lou Reed song that The BBC decided to take it upon themselves to produce; This magnificent underrated song that they produced then released for charity in November 1997 just last year (November 2012) sold over 1.55 million copies.I think this cover should have went multi platinum in it's first year but, that's just me - It's taken around 15 years to reach platinum; Honestily, I'm not surprised.I do however think it's underrated and is a great record/cover. Powerage5
Foo Fighters Live - Carry On My Wayward Son Was good.I prefer GWAR's version. The first one that jumps to mind is Alice Cooper's rendition of Hello Hooray. Really the epitome of an artist taking a cover and making it their own.
