Fucking great news, as AB's albums have always sounded heavy and FAT!!!!

Maybe Slash will finally get a great big fat drum sound behind his guitars again, that has been kinda lacking since GNR and VR

Apocalyptic Love's drums sounded like the drummer was playing on a cardboard box....

Getting excited for the new music and the eventual tour that follows...........I love the way Slash keeps us fans informed on how things are going...it is a great time to be a Slash fan............

Its never not been a good time to be a Slash fan.

Truer words have never been spoken.................

There is no hassle with Slash, no hassle whatsoever. You wait a year between releases, see him live, then another album appears and the cycle continues - I like all his albums by the way. At every stage you are informed of the process. It makes you think why the hell Axl makes something which is relatively simple appear so difficult and confusing?

It's not just lack of confidence. Axl is nothing like Slash as a person. He's not exactly careless. Reminds me of something Tommy said about how he wished Axl didn't care so much about what people think of him and what he does.

It seems people like Tommy and Slash don't really get influenced as much by it like Axl does. I get the feeling everything is very dramatic in Axl's world and it has to be extreme. Chinese basically proves that.

Beat me to it as well!

I was going to start a thread with all the updates from Axl on the new GNR album but I am having trouble finding posts on facebook or twitter. Any help?

Hm, that's weird. I can't seem to find any either. This must be a technical bug or a communications misunderstanding. I'm sure if you contacted Team Brazil they would rectify this with all deliberate speed.

Ah, of course, silly me. They were kind enough to give me a great update and it would appear that "soon" is the word!

Glad about the change of producer.

I kinda dig the sound of the recent albums, but there's also something that doesn't quite click. Call me old fashioned/dated or whatever - but I think Slash needs to get back to that 'Its Five O'Clock Somewhere' sound. Listening back to that album now, I realise what a decent album it actually was
