I'm pretty positive that's Ross Halfin, early GNR photographer. He took a lot of (now) famous pictures of GNR early in their career. I believe he started shooting them during their first UK trip at the Marquee and then continued to do so for years after.

Looks like I was wrong about the Marquee, I found this quote from Ross Halfin

...never did them live, I was too lazy. I remember the first time I shot them they came in with an entourage of fifty hangers-on. It was a bit like the Rolling Stones, which I suppose they were. A photo from that session is on the cover of Greatest Hits. Still friendly with all of them except Axl.

He did take one of the most famous/recognizable GNR pictures ever though.
