luciusfunk
I liked Devendra Banhart's Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon which includes some tracks sung in Spanish. There's a decent song from Freddie Mercury's Barcelona album that's all Spanish if I remember correctly. Honestly, the poppier tracks with little Montserrat Caballé are the best ones. I don't listen to much music in Spanish, but I hear Tejano blasting from car stereos all the time. Guest Len B'stard
A certain spanish member of this forum introduced me to the music of Paco De Lucia i think it spelt though i might be wrong, it's quite magnificent. Other than that Reggaeton is my only other reference.

axlfan88
The greatest flamenco singer still alive (and one of the greatest of all time) is certainly Manuel Agujetas (born in 1939). His personality is controversial, anarchic and unpredictable... His vocal style was memorably described by a Village Voice writer as "a well-modulated primal scream—an exquisitely controlled shriek of anguish and despair . . . it does have a sheer animal quality to it".The following documentary is a great introduction to his art: This is another excellent documentary about Agujetas but unlike the first one it hasn't English subtitles: Edited November 20, 2013 by axlfan88
