Lithium
Yeah, I think the VCs and the Pateks are only available in fairly small sizes, but the Superocean is available up to a 46mm dial, which is quite big. I have small wrists, so I won't go any bigger than 42mm. I guess I just have a simplistic style when it comes to things like this. I like my watches to have clean lines and to not be too flashy, and I like my clothes to not have too many colours or annoying typing on them. Speaking of more affordable options, I want to get this as a gift to myself when I graduate:

Lithium
Seikos are great for the price. As aforesaid, I don't like watches that are too flashy, but I really like this model from Seiko. I think it'll be great with some colourful clothes during summer:

Omega has taken over from Rolex. It used to be "watch, watch, Rolex, Rolex, massage, sex" now it's "watch, watch, USB, Omega, Omega, massage, sex"Don't buy any fake USB or iPhone buds, even though they are virtually free at 2 dollars. The former your stuff will just disappear off it and the latter are terrible quality, only really useful for talk radio (good for gifts, although Chinese cigarettes are better - Double Happiness are choking awesome) Clothes, bags should be alright as long as you don't want to ship 10 back in your carry on.Suits are probably a best bet, fitted suit. About 100-150 dollars. It's pretty much pot luck but generally they won't fall apart. If you aren't too bothered by quality. They'll copy whatever suit you have with shittier fabric or better one if you pay. Cuff links, free ties through in. Look like cheap punk in under 2 days.Don't follow anyone anywhere, they will either rob you or put up the price or call the police and shake you down. There's loads of legit fake markets. When Bargaining always half what you want to pay for it. I tried to buy a can opener once and they starting price was 100rmb (10 GBP) so I got it down to 5 GBP (50rmb). It was a dollar tin opener. If it gets convoluted just walk away. There's always another vendor ready to try to rip you off.Tsingdao beer (650ml bottle 4rmb), bootleg heineken but it's half the price. Harbin is like Budweisser. Bud is 3.6% vol so it's not real Bud anyway is it.Don't let the restaurant sell you a bottle of Chinese wine without checking the price (Dou shao qian? how much) It's a common trick the wine will be 300 dollars. Chinese red wine is pretty rough, but Imperial Court, Dynasty, Great Wall ok if you mix in Sprite. Beer is a better option overall. You need "Bu Yao" - No Want. Avoid eye contact and smiling, this just encourages them. "Bu yong le" - means the same but more colloquial so they'll think you know and buzz off quicker. If you're going to eat street snacks, don't go to single stall, go to the snack street. The single stalls just found and dead rat and stuck on a stick. Maybe the Sweet Potato stall is semi safe. Bring some Imodium, paracetamol, cold and flu stuff cos it's hard to get this stuff when you need it. it's not wide spread, you'll have to go to doc for prescription. You might want antihistamine allergy tablets for the pollution, it affects everybody but if you're working it's bad gasping for breath in meetings etc.If you see a Yang's fry Dumpling go there and get the best Fry dumpling's ever. 6rmb for 4.all common sense and you probably know everything anyway. You tremendous hypocrite len. Cathy Come Home here. John Lydon in the house, innit? This ponce wants a designer way to tell the time!!Explain to me the correlation between thinking that poor people get shafted and shouldn't and liking nice watches? I've never shied away from stating that, in certain instances, I have an appreciation for quality and craftsmanship, watches, cars etc, thats not really incongruous with the idea that poor people shouldn't get shagged dear boy In fact, it's only really the truly working class that put stock in such things, you will never meet a working class person that'd say no to a few bob, God knows they graft for it.I live in a grade II listed building young man, I am far from derelict. That don't mean i don't come from where i come from though. Edited January 10, 2014 by sugaraylen

Guest Len B'stard
I got it wrong when I mistook you for a socialist. You sir are a true product of 'Blair's Britain': lefty with one hand while chucking cash about with the other. While we're about it, yes, i do believe in massive taxation of the rich and the redistribution of wealth for the purposes of equality. I hear this often thrown at people with my sorts of beliefs, 'well put your money where your mouth is, why don't you give away 80% (or x amount) of your wealth' to which my response is, i want a system to be in place, i want the world to be governed in that way but until it is how does me giving away the vast majority of what I earn at all help the situation? If i'm to stand up here and go we have a corrupt capitalist system that feeds the rich and eats the poor and is designed to keep the poor poverty stricken and it shouldn't be that way, it should be replaced with some sort of socialist egalitarian system, me giving away every penny i earn doesn't help to achieve that, does it? All that does is leave me one broke derelict wanker while the rest of the world carries on as they were.If and when such a system is in place i will happily abide by it...but giving away every penny I have as of now doesn't achieve or even reach towards that, does it? Also, Blairs Britain was built on people like yourself sir, Conservatives, thats what Blairs New Labour was about, getting the vote of your sort Edited January 10, 2014 by sugaraylen
DieselDaisy
So 'until your Communist utopia happens, spend, spend, spend?' ''There is poverty but fuck it - there is nothing I can do about it so I may as well buy a new watch''!New Labour certainly did not get my vote. I would rather vote BNP than Labour and I hate the BNP so that sums up how much I hate Labour. I remember watching the telly in 1997 (I was into politics back then), watching Prescott dancing to 'things can only get better', and thinking 'Britain is finished'. Then there was the Gallaghers turning up and No 10 - fuckin awful 'cool britannia' garbage.New Labour is, champagne socialism. All it really entailed was, spend, spend, spend.
