Slash and Mike Monroe

Recommended Posts

I just saw a video where the reporter said that Monroe is the nicest man in the music industry.

He'd be cool in VR.

I'd rather see the band hire some new up and coming singer that isn't already established in a current band. But if they don't go that route, and hire a veteran -Monroe would be a cool choice.

I interviewed Michael Monroe back in college. HELL of a nice guy.

Now, this sounds like a rock singer. He is myles ahead of Slash's current singer.

No range.

Michael Monroe has more attitude in his pinky than Myles Kennedy has in his entire body.

Wow that 78 song has the same riff as Sleep Now in the Fire. Wonder if Rage did that on purpose?

Not the biggest Rage fan here, but I'm pretty sure Sleep Now was released well before '78. I really can't see how anyone thinks Monroe is a better singer than Kennedy (I could see the argument for many other current singers, but not Monroe), but let's not turn this into another pro-Myles vs. anti-Myles thread.

I get that, the dude is crazy. But all the attitude in the world isn't gonna help him sing if Slash wants to play By The Sword or Communication Breakdown.

Wow I just assume it was released way back in the 80s when Michael Monroe still mattered. Had no idea it was 2011, apparently. Still, coolest Rage song and awesome riff. :)
