Greatest comeback albums ever

117°-Izzy Stradlin

Wouldn't really count it as a comeback album. One of my favorite Izzy albums, but not a comeback album.

Does Back In Black count as a comeback? Since it was the first after Bon died?

Maybe Springsteen's The Rising?

And then there's The Eagles' Hell Freezes Over. As well as Long Road Out Of Eden by the way.

Aerosmith's Permanent Vacation.

Black Crowes' Warpaint.

I count 117 as a comeback album as it was his first since JJH. I would count Back In Black as a comeback album as well.

Everything Must Go - Manic Street Preachers.

After a band member disappearing people assumed they were done. But they came back with a No. 1 album and single.

Thats gotta be the biggest mystery in rock n roll history, what the fuck happened to him?

See, that self harming things a load of bollocks, the connotation or association there is that he sat around in his room weeping and cutting himself but, as far as I'm aware, it was a one time shock tactic type thing that he did during an NME interview, it's not like he was some fuckin' 00s emo kid.

But I mean no body found or nothing, its odd...then again, it depends on where the waters from that bridge go to.

Iron Maiden - Brave New World

Black Sabbath - Heaven And Hell

I suppose Contraband is a comeback album of sorts, despite being that band's first album.

Jeff Beck - Blow By Blow

Judas Priest - Angel of Retribution

Dream Theater - Metropolis Pt.2 Scenes From A Memory

Deep Purple - Burn, also Perfect Strangers, also Purpendicular

Jimmy Page & Robert Plant - No Quarter

I think Edwards committed suicide

In other news Pope shits in woods!

Apparently in the motor they found like, Ginsters packets and stuff bought from the service station there...so he'd been like, living in his motor?

BGWTB - Alice In Chains

King Animal - Soundgarden

Worship Music - Anthrax

Endgame - Megadeth

A Different Kind Of Truth - VH

The Devil You Know - BS

CD

I'd consider The System Has Failed more of a comeback album for Megadeth since Dave said the band was pretty much over before it came out. It was originally supposed to be a Mustaine solo album.

Brave New World - Iron Maiden

Achtung Baby - U2

Is Achtung Baby really a comeback album?

I would consider it one. Since 'The Joshua Tree' was a huge success.

I don't consider Rattle and Hum to be a real LP, since it's a compilation.

Whoever said MBV, great pick.

Reflektor is a pretty good comeback album as well.

I can't think of many others off the top of my head. But I feel like there are a few others that I'm not thinking of.
