Tater Totts
BBC forecast has rain for qualifying but dry for the race With all this torque it looks like most of the drivers are fighting the cars, nice to see there is a bit of challenge back rather than having the cars almost on rails.
Chris1989
I like the car control side of things, but I hate the loss of apex speed. It is amazing to see a Formula 1 car corner in person, but now they are a bit point and squirt. Come the end of this season they will be back to normal I am sure. supercool
ricciardo and his red bull are much better than expected, mercedes confirmed that they're strong...race should be interesting.an easy way to understand the new rules :
Scumcat Esq.
an easy way to understand the new rules :Vettel should've driven the new car instead. That's why he's got so many problems with it.It's gonna be a great season. I quite enjoyed watching the qualifying session, perhaps, for the first time since 2010 (except for the qualifying session before the race in Monaco in 2012). Although Massa and Kimi could've done better.P. S. Keep fighting, Michael! Edited March 15, 2014 by Scumcat Esq.
Tater Totts
So the Mercedes goes quickest by .3 of a second from Ricciardo who was on the quicker tyre. That is pretty ominous for the rest of the field.

Tater Totts
Just caught it, great race.Couldn't stop laughing at the beginning when Vettel said "is it normal to have no power?"
Tater Totts
Ricciardo disqualified for exceeding the fuel limit of 100kg for the race.
Scumcat Esq.
http://www.crash.net/f1/news/201187/1/ricciardo-excluded-from-australian-gp.htmlYeah, so congratulations to Jenson, I guess.Although I belong to those ones who are tired of Red Bull's domination (but as a fan of MSC, I suppose, I don't have a right to feel that way), I'm not happy with the outcome. Dan was genuinely glad standing on the podium.
Tater Totts
Yeah but can't let them get away with it for sentimental reasons, they broke the rules and have to be punished but it sucks for him.

Chris1989
He is still doing better than Raikkonen. Not surprising considering Raikkonen had electronics issues through Australia, was hit in Malaysia and raced with a damaged chassis in Bahrain (Only discovered today in testing)
