The Sandman
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=pTZ2Tp9yXyMLooks pretty awesome - funny and something a bit different, perhaps a good break from your traditional super-hero film.Anyone else keen? Broskirose
That's one of the worst trailer's I've ever seen.
DR DOOM
Besides the first 2 (Burton) Batman movies, have there actually been any decent super hero movies?
Broskirose
Is this a joke thread? Like is this not a real movie? I see the Jimmy Kimmel logo in the corner. That's one high budget skit if so...But seriously, not only does the movie look awful, but the trailer doesn't even appeal to the kind of people that would go watch it. I'm just confused. I don't even get it.

I don't even get it.YOU DON'T EVEN NOT GET IT.When the author of the reboot even says:"I think anybody -- I don't care how devoted a Star-Lord or Rocket Raccoon fan you were even two years ago -- who would have said that this would make a great main movie would have been laughed off. It's such an unlikely thing to do. So I think it's lovely to work on something and expose its potential to the point where a company like Marvel will say, 'Yes, this makes sense.'" —Dan Abnett, co-writer of the 2008 Guardians of the Galaxy relaunch, on the project. It's probably niche. It's a sort of pseudo parody - I don't think it looks that bad, fun certainly.

Bumble's Bridge Pickup
Heh I caught the NIN song instantly lol.Awesome move from Marvel. This is a high budget summer blockbuster based on a real obscure book from the 70's. Experimental fun.
Zint
Digging a little deeper in the well is bold and experimental, and the right thing to do at this point. It might be hype, but reports from people who have seen more of what is to come from this, predict Star Wars epic results.Time will tell, but when all is sad and done, this movie will have a following...perhaps on a Watchmen level.I can't wait to see it.

maynard
This could work, if they don't make it a kids movie. It looks like one
jekylhyde
I liked it. A lot. Looks like it's going to be a pretty cool movie. Edited February 19, 2014 by jekylhyde

moreblack
Could be a fun Netflix watch on an afternoon with nothing else to do. But not full price movie ticket worthy. They should've worked Spiderman or Wolverine into it somehow.
Iron MikeyJ
Man you guys are crazy, this is gonna be epic. This is the film that is going to lead u to Avengers 2. Obviously you all are not current on your Marvel Universe knowledge. They are slowly introducing the public to Marvel's cosmic characters. Avengers 2 Age of Ultron is going to be based on Marvel's Annihilation story line, which takes place on distant planets, but the Avengers are going to team with the guardians in Avengers 2. Then they will start Phase 3 of the cinimatic universe, which is going to climax with Avengers 3 The Infinity Guantlet. The Infinity Guantlet story line is the be all end all of super hero stories. It's going to make Nolan's Batman and all DC films look like an episode of my little pony in comparision. But in order to do the story justice Marvel has to slowly introduce the audience to these characters. You can't do the guantlet story without telling the right back story, which is exactly what they are doing. BTW anyone that knows The Infinity Guantlet story line will tell you how freaking awesome it is. Thanos (who appeared briefly in the Avengers) gets all of the infinity gems (which gives him God like powers). He can literally do whatever he wants with the snap of his fingers (make people cease to exists, travel anywhere in time and space, etc.) He wipes out half of the known universe just because he can. He tries to become the ruler of the whole universe, and it takes The Avengers, The Guardians of the Galaxy, and the cosmic beings (the celestials, galactus, eternity, etc) all teaming up to stop him. Good guys and bad guys all fighting together to stop the greatest threat in the history of comic books. I don't want to spoil the suprise, but they get "lucky" and manage to stop Thanos. But it's freaking epic beyond epic, and might make Star Wars seem cheezy by comparision. I am absolutly thrilled by these films. I know Iron Man 3 was a bit of a let down, but trust me shit is going to start getting crazy, and it all beings with Guardians of the Galaxy.
moreblack
Just skip all that and make Civil War and AvX happen.

Bumble's Bridge Pickup
Damn those movie rights issues. This summer there will be actually 2 different versions of Quicksilver played by 2 different actors in movies - one in Days Of The Future Past, one in Avengers 2.The one in Avengers 2 can not be even referred to as a mutant because of legalities, lol.
