Huge fan
Slash recently told the Belfast Telegraph in an interview: “I would not like to see a Guns N’ Roses biopic. It’s really rare where you see actors portraying live musicians (well). I don’t think rock and roll translates in the movies, I don’t think they really get the gritty vibe of what it’s like.”“That’s an easy one. When I was a little kid, my mum took me to see Night Of The Living Dead, and the scariest scene was when the daughter grabs a spade and goes after her mom, and her mom can’t accept that her daughter’s a zombie; she’s pleading with her and doesn’t realise what she’s dealing with – and she gets spaded to death. That was just a very unnerving scene for me, and it clearly stuck with me all this time.”

Amir
I can't see any actor really being able to pull off the roles.Dream would be an uberlong documentary series, with the first part being Marc Canter's Reckless Road, the 2nd part being the UYI doc Perfect Crime, and the 3rd part being The Making of Chinese Democracy. dalsh327
Biopics rarely make it out without criticism. I guess wait to see how Motley Crue's biopic turns out.
Nosaj Thing
With a good director and writer I think a Guns N' Roses biopic would be awesome. The "early days" and the "most dangerous band in the world" period could last less than an hour. The rest could be about the break-up and Axl's downfall. Less than 3 hours and I would love it.I don't think it'll happen, though.

Then when the movie does start, it shuts off half way through. That would be the most accurate GNR biopic.

Padme
I think the biopic The Doors does it for all of them. I mean the main elements are a patron that we´ve seen all the bands have followed.
pugachev
I never cared for Biopics, especially wouldnt want to see one made about GNR. Mostly because of the conflicting views of how the events transpired, would only add fuel to the fire. saber_
Honestly I think Slash doesn't want it to happen because of how he would be portrayed during that era. He's very image-conscious nowadays and a biopic wouldn't serve his PR agenda very well.
DR DOOM
LOL yeah right Slash's concern is they would pussify it.Axl is the one that would be upset about how he would be portrayed- a woman beating, tantrum throwing, insecure, bigoted little psycho more than likely. Russel Nash
Uwe Boll will be the best choice in directing this.

He has convinced the world that he was the innocent little hard-working victim and it was all Axl's fault. He doesn't want fans to see the truth which directly conflicts with the image he's portrayed of himself ever since then. Of course he's got a canned and bullshit answer to tell the pres, but that ain't the real reason.

Just seeing actors try to portray them would be too weird.
Facekicker
I dunno, Steven Adler alone could make it a great comedy. Who could do him justice?

dalsh327
A band documentary with some re-enactments and animation will probably happen at some point. Maybe not anytime soon, but that's generally what they do with documentaries to fill in spots where there's no footage of specific incidents.
