Nosaj Thing
So what's the problem now? They're requesting that the forum do not promote or link people to the bootleg? Gunns can do whatever he wants though. I hope you're still releasing this baby.

WHY DONT THEY EVER COMMENT ON ANYTHING?!? I feel my frustrations are warrented at this point and I know Im not the only one who feels this way. gunsguy
So where is the thread then? Rockfuel does not own any rights in regards to this release whatsoever. The torrent that was up is now 100% seeding from me on seedbox. Rockfuel if you are reading this, um, are you hiring? You clearly can't stop the bootleg market that has been recording and releasing shows since GN'R came out back in the 80's. The fans want to relive shows for a reason. So are you hiring? I am serious, you need to know how to deal with fanbase... and so I give you a F-To compare this release to yours is insane, I mean it is low quality to begin with, gimmie a breakanyways I bow have the torrent of the cotis version 100% jump onto the tracker for a download at top speed. This release has NOTHING to do with rockfuel and the dvd they are or are not releasing Edited March 18, 2014 by gunsguy

This is not a for profit dvd professionally shot in full board audio. Can someone explain what exactly happened and why that thread was removed? It had to be Guns yes? Broskirose
So Cockfuel fails to release a DVD for 2 years, and then block a completely unrelated fan bootleg to top it all off? Nice.

Popular Post highvoltage
Guys, I sincerely apologise but you now know as much as we do, and at this point, it's not appropriate to comment any further. We all love this band, and that footage was released with the best of intentions. If that was a misguided intention, then so be it. We understood that management would be OK with this and clearly this isn't the case.At the end of the day, they have every right to request the material be taken down if they don't want it out there. We can only hope that an official release comes soon and that the fans can enjoy that instead.I have to lock this, I don't really want to inflame the situation any more. I know Gunns never intended for there to be any backlash from this, and we certainly didn't either.
Popular Post highvoltage
I have received confirmation by management that they were unaware of any attempt to stop this being released. Someone over-reacted and tipped GN'R's lawyers off (no prizes for guessing who), which resulted in a notice being sent as part of standard procedure. They just send them out, and they're not cleared by management first.I'm not sure if we'll still be able to promote this if/when it is released, but rest assured we will try to negotiate with management to get things properly approved and rubber stamped. Unfortunately due to the timing of the rockfuel release, that might not be possible for a while, or at all.I want to apologise to anyone who is disappointed by this news, we really thought that the right people had been contacted to ensure there would be no issues with this.
Popular Post highvoltage
....Final comment to add to this:To the people asking, it's not as simple as management just saying "Yes, go ahead" now. Rockfuel could potentially take them to court if they gave us permission. They've been put in a really unfortunate position over this, and I want to stress again that this is not management's fault at all.It would really be a question of whether our good friend at rockfuel can see the error of his ways and accept that this release poses no threat to the multimillion dollar 3D movie that we all hope will be released soon. If anything, reacting the way that he has probably did more damage to the release than anything else. Let the fans enjoy something until the legal issues can be resolved - anyone who wants to take the time and download 4 year old GN'R show shot with a camera in the audience is most certainly going to want to view and purchase a professionally filmed official release.Surely it can't be so hard for him to see this.
Popular Post highvoltage
Hi everyone,Following a discussion, we've managed to clear up some misunderstandings and Rockfuel have gone out of their way to request that YouTube reverse the strike on the Return of the Rasp bootleg. I believe if you search for it, you can find it although I'm still not sure we can post links to it here given the specific instructions we got. I want to thank Rockfuel for this development, and reiterate that they have the board's full, ongoing support for the upcoming 3D Appetite for Democracy release. I'm really happy that they were willing to take the time to fix this situation for the fans.
