Slash doesn't have a feud with Axl. He said so many times over the last decade plus that he's willing to do a reunion.

It's all fucking Axl's fault. He's a goddamn nutjob and we all know it. It's his hatred of Slash for reasons he's unwilling to divulge and probably never existed anyway but he's distorted them in his mind. Also his disdain for his fans. For any form of ANYONE telling him what to do, EVER. Everyone from executives to fans begging for a reunion translates to one thing in his mind: someone telling him what to do.

He's said it in plain in English. HE WOULD RATHER DIE THAN GIVE IN. He's the most crazy stubborn motherfucker on the planet. Slash has nothing to do with it. He'd jump at the chance.

There's really only one option for this poll. Axl. Axl. Axl.

Slash would do it in a heartbeat. To him, all those years of running his mouth and blocking GnR releases for more money can simply be forgotten or attributed to some "rock n' roll" rationale.

Everyone knows it's Axl who won't do it. And I'm not trying to crush your hopes and dreams, because a reunion would be cool n' all, but the cold, harsh reality is that there won't be a reunion. In some ways, you can blame Slash for this. As we've seen from the court documents which contradict his claims, and as Axl told us quite clearly, Slash willingly signed the name over, apparently under not so much duress. If Slash didn't sign the name over, then talk shit for years after he quit the band, we might not be in this predicament. Payback's a bitch. I love when reporters ask Slash about GnR- he gets really touchy about it. Guess ya shouldn't have signed the name over, eh genius?

There's no mystery to it. Axl has wanted Slash to apologise publicly for various shit he's said and done before he will have anything to do with him at all. He had 3 songs back in 2000 he would have had Slash come in and play on if he would apologise first.

Slash has refused to do this presumably out of pride for one thing and because he doesn't agree with everything Axl thinks he needs to apologise for.

He made a half-hearted attempt to apologise in a way when he went to Axl's house in 2006 but Axl would prefer he wasn't drunk and it was in public.

I actually thought that Slash might have budged on this by now but he seems to be doing really well for himself so he doesn't have anywhere near enough incentive to.

He's also been checking the shows on youtube the last few years thinking 'fuck that shit!'

Axl. But to a certain extent also the current band. A reunion would kill the current band. Simple as that. I doubt Axl would want to give up on what he's been trying to build since 1998.

Slash would do it in a heartbeat, his last album was a catastrophic failure selling ~75,000 and he's pricing tickets dirt cheap to get people to his shows. Slash needs to apologize to Axl for mouthing off during the decade Axl was silent and blaming him for everything. Axl himself said that would be enough to start conversations and possibly a reunion, ball would then be in Axl's court to apologize for his part in the breakup. If Slash doesn't make a significant first step it won't ever happen.
