Slash with Motörhead at Coachella to be streamed

Recommended Posts

Sorry if there is already a thread for Coachella, but I couldn't find one. But I looks like Slash will be joining Motörhead this weekend and next, and YouTube may be streaming it.

Is Motorhead actually playing Coachella still? They cancelled at ROTR I know, and if they're still on this'll be the first full Motorhead gig in about a year.

Slash confirmed on twitter. But Motorhead could have other plans. For now take it as as a yes

I'm not sure I could identify one Motorhead song.

Same here. And why I don't even care?

Motorhead is that guy Lemme's band, or whatever his name is, right? I know nothing about him but his name and that he's some sort of god to a particular brand of rock dork.

I don´t know a whole lot either. They are Brits and they have been a around for almost 40 years. A trio, Lemmy Kilmister bass and voice. Their biggest hit I think it´s Ace Of Spades. Another song I remember is Born To Raise Hell from the movie Airheads.

Amusing that GNR fans, precisely GNR fans, laugh at other people's rock taste.

Relax, man. I was just having some fun with the "rock dork" thing. You really think I'm unaware of the irony considering I'm a GNR fan? Besides, I certainly don't have much of an opinion on Motorhead to speak of considering I openly admitted I don't know even one song.

Motörhead is known for their influence on thrash metal and speed metal. Lemmy is a legend because he's so old and still living hard. And he was a roady for Hendrix.

I'm surprised there isn't more love for them here, they were one of Slash's influences weren't they?

Honestly, if you guys aren't familiar with Motorhead, check them out. They're one of the best raw, no bullshit rock bands of all time. And if you want to know why Lemmy is held in such high regard, check out the documentary about him (It's just called Lemmy). Even if you're not a Motorhead fan, it's well worth a watch.
