I would like to invite you guys to an Aerosmith board I moderate if you want to learn some more about the band before the tour. To me it is all about the 70's - early 80's stuff. For people that only know them for PUMP and Get a Grip and stuff (which I hate) you might discover some shit about them. We are just getting started so the more the merrier. RNRS Posted April 18, 2014 Share Posted April 18, 2014 I'm not sure who Tom-Ass is, but it's weird how there just doesn't seem to be 1 big forum for Aerosmith out there like many other rock bands have, and it's spread out over Facebook and various fan pages like yours. After checking your board though, it'd have been nice if along with the demise of the Aeroforceone board, some of its users would have disappeared as well.What you seem to get on every Aerosmith forum is that once it grows bigger, the big guys (as in the ones with the most posts) don't seem to be able to handle a discussion once posters have a different opinion than their "THE SEVENTIES SHIT IS THE BEST STUFF" propaganda in almost every post they have to make.If you run a board/website/fanpage, at least be able to deal with people not agreeing with the way its run. You're running a fansite for fans, not for yourself, yet some of these fans rather report on how they were the first to bring the news as opposed to reporting about the actual news itself.There hasn't been once decent discussion on Aeroforceone for years because it's the same self indulgent people going over the same things while disagreeing with every possible new guy who has a different opinion than theirs. Question their opinion and they'll start to insult you, have your opinion questioned and answer in a logical way and you wouldn't hear a thing from them anymore, meaning every topic dies within a few posts.And no, I'm not butthurt about them. SweetRose Posted April 23, 2014 Share Posted April 23, 2014 I hadn't visited the AF1 boards in a long long time. It got boring. A huge majority of old AF1 members became lurkers. I let membership lapse at around 13 or 14 yrs. worth of seniority. Wasn't getting any of the perks that we used to. Hell,I got 3rd row seats with 3yrs seniority. And at about 12 yrs seniority was pushed back to about the tenth row or so. Still not bad. But sucks cause I didn't want to shell out the big bucks for the different wheels up package crap they offered us. Which was what was pushing those of us with high seniority back farther.
