Subtle Signs Posted April 18, 2014 Share Posted April 18, 2014 Adam Bomb has been taking questions over on Metal Sludge so I took the chance to ask him the following:When is the last time you had any contact with Axl Rose and what are your thoughts on the current lineup of Axl Rose,Dj Ashba,Bumblefoot,Richard Fortus,Dizzy Reed,Chris Pitman,Tommy Stinson and Frank Ferrer?Also,what do you think of the Chinese Democracy album?I haven't run into Axl in many years, since he disappeared in that big hiatus after GNR broke up. I was never around when they played NYC for his comeback at that clothes store for Rosasrio Dawson's birthday party. My Claire went there before she died. I was on the road. I never really got into the songs of Chinese Democarcy. But I did see the pay per view stream online of that gig a couple of years ago and I thought they were amazing, I thought Axl sang incredible for 3 hours, I thouhgt the guitar players were all really good. I'm kinda jealous of that job. It must be so much fun. I met the drummer Frank in NYC at a Mick Rock party. He was really cool. Most of Axl's band is NY based. That guitar player is from a band that used to rehearse at Tucasa called Honkey Toast. He shreds. I thought Ashba was a DJ or a producer. I'm not sure if he is a Slash but he fits the Hollywood mold and I'm sure he earns his 6 figure paycheck. Sixx AM was really good. Bumblefoot is one of those really technical guitarists. They are all pro as fuck. Maybe just not as dirty or rock n roll as I am. I think he misses West Arkeen and the hollywood sleaze ball vibe guys in his circle used to be in the early 90's. Now he's just surrounded by pros. It must not be so much fun.
