Georgy Zhukov
Love and Theft is my favourite of the bunch.A very good blues record. Have his last few really been good though?I'm thinking about checking them out. But how do they stand up to his older materialThey really are.- Time Out Of Mind- Love And Theft- Modern Times- Together Through Life- TempestAll fantastic albums. They're quite different from his 60's stuff, obviously. Especially musically. Also lyrically, but there's still that Dylan vibe. Stories that make you think about what they mean and why he's telling them. Do you know and like Oh Mercy? I think that would be the best reference here as far as what they're like.Reviews have been basically unanimous. This is his best streak he's been on since the 60's. dalsh327
Daniel Lanois said there's another album's worth of Sinatra songs, but he wanted to stick to 10 cuts. Whether that's a follow up or eventual Bootleg Series remains to be seen.

wasted
Mississippi on Love and Theft holds up to old stuff. Things have Changed is a classic. I used to care but things have changed. I love It's All Good on Together Through Life. Early Roman Kings too. I think he's very New Orleans in this last run.
