combos
In reference to attendance, it does. Not sure why you're so offended about it, honestly. I think Axl's band is doing great for 2014. Great? The original band died 21 years ago. Since 1991, only one original record has released with the GNR name on it with zero promise of anymore on the way. No one in the band was in the band when Appetite launched except for Axl bla bla bla. I think the fact that they're selling tickets at this pace ANYWHERE in the world is a fucking miracle haha. itsprettytiedup
Guns N' Roses in Argentina 2010 sold out an stadium with capacity of 60.000 (Velez Sarfield) in one week. Now they've sold just 16.000 in a stadium with capacity of 25.000Ouch.

GN'R was back to Argentina in 2011 (for 3 shows!). and then 2013. was pretty much the same show, so this explains these numbers Edited May 24, 2014 by FabioRoses

I was just elaborating on your thought. It IS a modern miracle imo that he can sell this many tickets. When you look at bands like Poison playing county fairs etc, that's plan to see. Tom2112
If you had the same info for Europe that would be interesting.... If Guns are only doing 12000 out of a 30000 capacity venue that's not very good. Some bands can tour without a new album or something to promote and sell out wherever they go Metallica/Maiden etc. but it looks as though Guns days as top dogs are long gone... If Brazil isn't even baring fruit then where else? Guns got paid for each of those shows, and the money was probably pretty good. The money listed here is how much venue the concerts generated, GnR were paid separately to the show via the promoter probably before they even hit the stage.... maybe Axls back stage with his laptop looking at his online banking waiting for the cash to arrive in his bank, when it arrives he goes on stage, until then it's ransom time... I like this idea

Tom2112
I'm interested in Dublin 2012 as I was there and I'm curious as the crowd looked much thinner than 2010. If yo find it post it. Interesting all the same!

Guessing in 2010 they roped off more seats? 2010 I managed to get a seated ticket for under face value from a tout for the first night (only seated ticket I've bought for a GNR show), think touts/scalpers overestimated demand, but I remember it still looked pretty packed. 2nd night in 2012 it seemed a bit less packed than the first night, think it was maybe only half full.Looking at the cheapest ticket price for 2012, I'm guessing they opened up top floor seats compared to 2010. DieselDaisy
Newcastle 2012 was, I would say, about 80% capacity, in a 11,000 seater (2006 was 100% in the same venue). Not bad really considering the context but there was a splurge of cheap tickets being offloaded on the day, touts getting rid of tickets for £10 and ridiculous prices like that (I regretted paying full wack earlier!) Nikki_Sixx
I'm laughing out loud at these numbers. Why on earth did they insist on playing stadiums with that line-up ? What a disaster. Just another fabulous example of the ridiculous decision-making that seemed customary with this ridiculous line-up.
